    That delivery person!

This place absolutly has to deal with their delievery person. He has got to be one of the angry people I've ever met. I love indian food, and would even eat inconsistant so-so indian food that came from this place, but when that delivery person was arrogant, aggressive and just plain rude because someone mixed up my address, I stopped eating there or ordering from there. No I'm a damn good tipper, just ask the guys from Taco or falfal chula, because I know these people get didily squat for hard work, but don't throw food in my face because you're having a bad day. The incident was six or so months ago, and I haven't had indian in this area ever since. Someone needs to open up a better indian restaurant, these people are only in business because they have the market hostage and have kind of cheap food....I really hope they lose their lease, or go bankrupt of something....

    Dry. Flavorless. So sad

I keep giving this place a chance thinking it HAS to get better, but it never does. I'm convinced ALL appetizers are reheated in the oven and a week old. Seriously, who has ever heard of a dry bahgi? Completely dry and flavorless. ALL of their food is totally tasteless, it's quite fascinating. The Vegetable Poori was the only thing I have had here that has any flavor at all. Will someone PLEASE open up a proper curry house in WB?! I only go here out of desperation for indian every 6 months on a whim but I think this is the last time. Also they resently changed their name slightly by modifying Taj to something I can't remember.... the place is weird and flavorless.

    Good decent Indian Food

Good Indian food for a decent price and in the neighborhood. Service could be a trifle friendlier and the portions of the entrees could be a bit larger, but on the whole, a good experience. The delivery guy is the best!

    so-so

entree was okay, but the banana fritters were reheated in oven, dry and very not good. onion chutney was nothing like the yummy traditional chutney we all know and love.

    Poor delivery man!

I had ordered delivery from TM, and first waited 1 hour for my food, and then, their delivery guy would not give me my change back, he wanted a $6 tip on a $14 order. He was very aggressive. I will not order from them unless they have a new delivery guy.

Decent food at a good price

Taj Mahal is usually pretty empty and I'm surprised they stay in business - maybe they do a lot of takeout? But the food is good and the prices are quite reasonable. Yes, the waiters are a little grumpy but they have personality about it. However - this menu is out of date. They no longer have everything listed here - no gulab jamun or honey cake, and the prices are a little higher. But most shocking, though it says on the Menupages menu that entrees come with rice, dal and chutney, they gave us no dal last night. We asked for some, it came, and they charged us $5.95 for it!

    Good Indian food in Williamsburg

Good eats here! I believe they have a sister restaurant in the city on Indian Row. Wait staff are not the friendliest, but the food is good and you can't beat the value.
