Best Falafel!
I used to frequent many falafel places in the city but would always end up disappointed because the others just don't compare to Mamoun's. Now I have stopped making that mistake, if I want falafel, I go to Mamoun's.

Delicious!
The shwarma is amazing here. The falafel is also pretty good, though I have had better...but at $4.00 and $2.50 (or something like that) respectively, you can't beat the price for the value. I go there whenever I am in the area.

I. Adore. Mamoun's.
I love Mamoun's and would seriously always go whenever I was on MacDougal, no matter what time of day. I was seriously THRILLED when they opened up their east side location. You cannot beat what they've got: amazingly cheap and yummy food. The sandwiches have plenty of meat or falafel inside - definitely not chintzy. You feel satisfied and don't feel disgusting after spending around **$7.00** for an entire meal (and that's including a side and drink). And I love their mango juice. My only complaint is that although he hummus has a really unique and delicious aftertaste, the consistency could be a little better. It's really a pleasure to see this place while walking down St. Mark's in the sea of new and terrible flourescent storefronts. We need more businesses like this there.

Great for the late night drunken snack
It's not the original, but the food is still good. It is still cheap falafel that goes down great after one to many. my only complaint, no matter how many times I say no tahini, I end up with tahini.
