Hands down, the best Italian delivery on the UES.
The lobster ravioli is addictive -- I've served it as a first course when I've had people over for dinner. (In fact the staff said the next time I wanted to do that to let them know a day ahead and they'd give me the ravioli separate from the sauce so I could heat and combine them right before I serve them.) The baked ziti is light years ahead of all the italian delivery nearer me, as is the chicken parmigiana. I've only seen the place from a passing cab -- it looks like a standard take out place, but the food is superior. (The people who answer the phones are great, too.) I only wish it were a quiet, dimly lighted place with a full bar -- it would become my favorite eat-in destination as well.

The Best Italian Take-Out
This place offers Italian food like I've never had before. The dishes are fresh and prepared homestyle. I really love the sandwiches too, they're the best pressed heroes in the City!! This place gets a 10 in my book!

Fantastic food fare!
Let me start off by saying the cannolis are the best in the city. They custom stuff them on the spot. The pasta dishes are made on the spot, and they have really good and fresh cheeses and ingredients and pizza. And the girl who works there is sweet and pretty as pie -- and she makes the BEST cappuccino. A+ to Mambo!

Surprisingly Delicious !
Honestly, I did not even know what this place was until a friend raved about the food quality. So I tried some pasta dishes which were delicious and the next day I ordered a sandwich and was very impressed. Mambo you have some great food!

Fantastic quality, well prepared and delicious!
This place gives hope to the neighborhood, I love this place. The best hero in the city, even better than Little Italy, Fresh breads, and the best ingredients create the perfect sandwhich. These people really care, which is rare these days.

excellent italian food
By far the best Italian food anywhere on 1st avenue. I have been there several times and I plan on going quite often. The food is not only delicious, but the service is excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone who knows what good Italian Food is supposed to be.

Fantastic food best sandwhich in Midtown
The bread is crusty and fresh, the meats are imported from Italy, the roasted peppers are fresh, there are fresh cheeses, what more can I say. the staff is great as well, they just need to get some seating for a perfect rating, however if FOOD IS THE OBJECTIVE, this is the place.
