I moved to 90th and Columbus a year ago and have been trying to find really good pizza - while walking up Amsterdam I passed this place and thought it's probability to far for delivery. Last night I took a chance and called. The guy on the phone was great and the pizza arrived in under 30 mins. It was also great pizza. Good sauce, salty cheese, firm crisp crust - perfect! Only downside is cash only but I can live with that. Glad I took a chance.

I love this place. I come here weekly. I go to school nearby. They have a student special for two bucks (slice and a cup of soda from the soda fountain). Best pizza, really good garlic knots. They absolutely know what they're doing. Busy around 3:00 (school) but other than that YUM!

Great pizza place: I ended paying up to $5.25 for a slice on the UWS, here you don't! A slice is $1.90! and it's awesome because not only it's cheap, but it's good! I go there a lot, when I'm hungry, or while waiting for the laundry! Friends were surprised of the taste or the regular slice! GOOD! And CHEAP! Go! GO!!

Simply the best pizza on the UWS. Sure there are some other places way downtown that even top Mama's, but this is a place where you are assured prompt service, great food, and it's a good value. It's hard to find that kind of establishment anymore, and all I can say is I'm happy to live a block away!

Neighborhood Institution. This pizza joint has been family operated since I could remember. Ever since I was a small child, has never change. Best Sausage roll in New York. BEST Pizza in the area. The two other (best pizza place) have nothing to brag about. You have to try it to believe it. BEST!!!!

Seriously. Go there. Eat the pizza. Love your life a little bit more.

In a neighborhood that has two great pizza places, Mama's comes in third. And that's not bad, but if you want a meatball hero, they come in first, and that's great. Can be crowded and chaotic, esp schooldays lunchtime.
