A party in your mouth
Mama Mexico is, quite simply, a guaranteed good time for a group of any size. It is impossibly crowded, but that only adds to the constant party atmosphere. There is absolutely no room for a strolling mariachi band, but they do not let that stop them from having one every night. The margaritas are unbelievable! Huge, delicious, and available in tons of flavors (try the mango), they're the perfect accompaniment to the standard Mexican fare and the free tequila shooters that occasionally come to the table. When you go, make sure to get the fresh guacamole; it's made right at your table, hot or mild as you like it, and is positively transcendent. You cannot go wrong on the menu; the seafood dishes are my favorite, but the tacos and burritos are excellent too. It's always busy and the waitstaff's English is not always perfect (making it hard to communicate over the din), but all of this can be overlooked by the excellent food, drinks, and music. Go on New Year's Eve for a particularly spectacular visit.

Saw this one on "The Best Of"
From the moment you step inside, it's like a party. The atmosphere is festive and happy. Wait staff is helpful, energetic and happy in their work. Soooo much food! We had two different shrimp dishes - fabulous. Guacamole made at your table, great drinks. Save room for dessert, Then explode.

Best Mexican I ever had! The lobster soup was to die for. Very fun atmosphere!! Will be back!!!

a MUST TRY if you like Mexican!!
I went to Mama Mexico with 5 friends on my birthday, and I was HIGHLY impressed. The food (I had chicken chimichangas) = EXCELLENT. The timing of service = GREAT. The service = IMPECCABLE (I'm talking seriously fantastic service here - they re-folded our napkins if we left the table to visit the restroom, and changed the paper on our table between dinner and dessert). The atmosphere = fun but very slightly overwhelming noise-wise - LIVE mariachi band! Desserts and Liquored coffees perfectly complimented and completed our meal. This is also coming from someone who used to shy away from Mexican food. In my book Mama Mexico rates an A+

Mama Mexico is the best mexican delivery option above 100th St. The portions are generous for the price, and food always arrives quickly and still hot. Free chips and salsa come with most orders.
