    subpar

ordered from here. i am not going to even tell you the story of the 2 hour lying wait I had, but to say that the phone person could not have been ruder and this was one of the worst indian meals i have ever eaten... i would suggest you dont even try this place.

Incredibly pushy and rude - OK food

I received a coupon in the mail so I decided to try. I went for dinner - and I guess this must be a lunch spot because it is a large space and when we arrived it was literally empty. My coupon was for a beer - and although the place was empty and there was nothing in writing that said so, we were promptly told by our waiter the coupon was "bar only". What a joke! For one thing, the bar was literally empty as was the restuarant - but I could have walked over and ordered there and then it would be accepted? And secondly, you can't just make up rules about your coupons because it was a slow night! I was infuriated by this and also the attitude I was given - this was not a situation where the waiter was apologetic about a misunderstanding. As other reviewers have written here, we were treated somewhat dismissively and hostily by our waiter, and when the bill came and we questioned the cost (had our food coupon been factored in? It did not appear so), the manager, who had thus far been MIA, arrived to insultingly speak of technicalities with the coupon which were not printed on them. By then a familiar story. So end of story: no discount. We had a mediocre meal - despite indicating that we like spicy the food was pretty bland, and the portions were smaller than we have seen elsewhere in the area for Indian. The only bright spot I will say was that the Naan was the best I have had. But it too small a consilation to make me want to go back. Never again!

    Spend your money elsewhere

I went to the lunch buffet. Food was pretty good but waiter was actually pushy about us ordering desert and coffee. We ordered coffee and found they charged $6 for 2 small coffees and also had the nerve to add a 20% gratuity to the bill. Pretty sneaky and insulting. We won't be back.

    Not Even Once

I wish the door had been locked. Mediocre food at best. As previous poster noted, high prices and the rice charge was outrageous. The waiter never mentioned that it would be so costly or that there would even be a charge. If you enjoy Indian food, go somewhere else.

    lower your expectations

The tasty food was sadly overshadowed by the extremely slow service, inconsiderate host and blatant padding of the bill. A blaring Sponge Bob competed with Indian music for the entertainment of the energetic grandson - ok he was cute. But then we were treated rudely and charged $11.50 for two servings of rice and $9 for two teas and a coffee in addition to two outrageously overpriced dinner entrees and an $11 appetizer served without plates. This racked up a $100 bill for less than three dinners. Each course took more than 15 minutes to arrive. This place isn't close to being nice enough to pull of that kind of a bill.

    Go for the Lunch Buffet

I've been here multiple times to have lunch with my Mom throughout the years. I've found the lunch buffet to be much better than other Indian buffets in midtown. It's tasty and gets replenished often. The vegiarian food is excellent. The best dessert are the milk balls in a sugary sauce, but it doesn't come out too often during the buffet. The decor could use some work and its sometimes hard to get the attention of the waitstaff during lunch, but otherwise I think this place is great...especially for the lunch buffet.

    This place was very dissapointing

We kind fo stumbled into this place while searching for another Indian restaurant a local highly recommended to us. Unfortunately, he gave us bad directions and so we got desparate and ended up at this establishment. I had my serious doubts when I entered (only 2 other diners at 8 pm). We were seated and ordered promptly. The owner was really pushy and annoying, asking us multiple times to get an appetizer, saying we didn't order enough, you should get this or that. My beer came out barely cooler than room temp. Our food was below par. Really unacceptable for the prices they charge and the small portions they give. The dishes were bland and uninspiring. Thats fine, not all places can be winners...however, what really ticked me off was that the owner saw it fit to throw in a 20% service charge to our bill! Thats ludicrous! Who does that? I recommend you dine elsewhere.
