    Favorite restaurant

It's not the most beautiful or extravagant eatery by any means. It is the most delicious and affordable place to eat on the upper west side. I love the Kari Sayur Kampur, it comes in a great clay pot and the vegetables are always perfect. The service is quick, the servers are really sweet.

    Great Buy

I don't love every dish here, and the atmosphere is minimal, but there are a few dishes that are tremendously tasty: the Roti Cani appetizer and the Seafood Curry in a clay pot. The latter is enough for three people -- it's huge. And the prices, especially the lunch special, can't be beat. Huge value for a small price.

    not impressed at all

i'm not sure why this place has relatively high ratings. it basically serves bad chinese food with a few extra dishes thrown in (and these aren't particularly well-done either). sad.

    Gone Downhill

A few years ago this was my favorite to order from when they were located on 88th st. I don't know what happened but when they moved to this new location, the food changed. The food is a pale comparison to it's glory days and now the is mediocre. The chicken satay's especially are thinner and peanut sauce oily. I wish they returned to their former glory.

    Someone get them Rosetta stone

I have to admit the food is good but the service not so good. I placed an order over to phone and my food order never came. They claimed that they couldn't get ahold of me after I gave the girl my phone number about 3 times! I really feel that they need to hire someone who speaks English. Very hard to communicate with the staff. Never ordering from there again. Not worth the headache.
