    My favorite

this place is amazing... i prefer it in the colder months cause it seems that there's less of a wait.... sometimes there's a 30 min wait..... i come here regularly and many times they don't have me waiting more than 10- 15 min.... the pasta and piadina are amazing... very traditional simple menu and good wine... i've been to italy and it has the same feel but much better service (an nice to look at too :-) ) haven't been here in almost 2 months and am looking forward to going this week .... must try it

    Good value

Good home made Italian food, very unpretentious, it's where one would trust the most basic dishes and the daily special

    Good food, reasonable price

Came to NY for a visit and we decided to try Malatesta after researching local restaurants to try. We got to the restaurant around 8 PM on a Saturday night and were sat right away at a little table by the window. Service was quick, menu is limited and simple, but well done. The only disappointment were the mussels, which were fresh but kind of bland, they could've used a bunch of garlic. The tagliatelli was delicious and the spinach gnocchi were awesome (not too heavy). Tiramisu was so-so, I'm from Philly and my favorite restaurant makes an unbeatable tiramisu so I'm biased. All and all, a good meal for a reasonable price, $100 for 2 including apps, dinner, dessert, coffee, wine and tip.

    hot food hot waiters

The food here is sensuous, like an explosion of taste and texture in your mouth. Pasta reaches a whole new level when it was made minutes ago. On top of this, the waiters are friggen sexy. This is a great place to go with a bunch of girls and admire the scenery.

    Top Notch

One of my favorites in the city. Great food, friendly/helpful services, and fun atmosphere. Awesome in the summer with outdoor seating and open windows. The pastas are homemade and cooked correctly (not soggy) and the grilled calamari is amazing.

    Delightful

We make sure we eat here once a week, the food is gorgeous and the atmosphere is just super (especially in the Summer). The food is superb and fresh. The clientele is a lovely mix and you can see there are many regulars! They accept cash only

    Authentic Italian food, fabulous service

We arrived right before the Saturday night crowd and got a prized table outside for two. The food is authentic and fresh. Not covered in cheese like alot of pseudo Italian we are used too. The portions are just right and everything was outstanding. They dropped off the check without asking if we wanted espresso... We asked if we could get a couple at the bar and they said, no please, stay at the table and gave us our coffee for free. We'll definitely be back!
