Good sushi, willing to make substitutions
Makana has a nice mix of Hawaiian BBQ and sushi. It's a little more pricey than other restaurants in the area, but if you order before 3pm the lunch specials are definitely worth it. They're always very polite on the phone, always get my order right, and deliver quickly. They're also willing to make substitutions without complaining (brown rice instead of white, macaroni salad instead of house salad, etc).

Go! Yum!
-get it right every time -quick delivery -salmon teriyaki melts in your freaking mouth! So good! -veg spring rolls are amazing -haven't had a bad meal yet! -best Asian food in the hood... By FAR! (ps, I'm pregnant and pretty much everything I usually eat is unappetizing, but this place is still doing it for me! )

Seriously Good Sushi in Spanish Harlem. Diamond in the Rough
Okay, finding great restaurants in E. Harlem is really tough, but this place is excellent. The service is consistently friendly and professional. I live right around the corner and order often. You can get 3 regular sushi rolls with miso soup and salad for 15 bucks. It's a great deal that easily feeds two people.

Yes please!
Finally some kick-a$$ sushi in the hood! Love the variety of the menu and the alternative rolls (fried chicken roll?!) best sweet potato fries around, the people there are always cheery and happy to see and please a customer. I usually get delivery or take out because I live so close, but I like the colorful interior and wall decals, they are dedicated to a theme and it's nice to see an establishment take the time to attempt and atmosphere, which is rare in this neighborhood, with the exception of a few diamonds in the rough. Get the lunch specials they're awesome!

Best Asian fusion in Harlem
Order from them for delivery many times, thier BBQ mix was finger licking good. I like Makana roll. Delivery food around that area suck, so this is my go to spot for now.

everything is amazing
The food is amazing the service is great. I always get a good laugh, when I come in to order my food. They now accept credit cards!

Not into it
had the kalua pork and some sushi and thought that none of it was very good. wouldnt eat the pork or sushi there again. i was hopeful cuz the hood could use another solid spot - and because people like their other joint, LES Sushi - but this place...just wasnt working for me.
