Best cheesecake.
I've been to this café to taste their cheesecake (with strawberries) and since that day i've never eat another cheesecake as good as this one. the price is a bit expensive but one slice is enough for 2 people so ... perfect. Next time i'll be going to NYC i'll go to this café again.

Good selection, good sandwiches, mediocre cheesecake
I thought this place had a great selection of food, and really enjoyed the sandwiches; the Mushroom Swiss Burger was great. I also really enjoyed my milkshake - it was a reasonable size and delicious. However, I had read a review raving about the cheesecake and the cheesecake was not up to par. Not only that, but the price was unlisted on the menu, and the one slice of cheesecake must have cost as much as a burger based on how much we had to pay.

Best pastrami I ever had
Been to NYC many times. This is the best pastrami sandwich I ever had. Lean, tasty! Can't wait to come back.

Prices
My wife and I visit NYC occasionally, and on our last two trips we stopped at the Majestic Deli. The first time we were there, I had lasagna and a slice of cheesecake. The lasagna was so so, but the cheesecake was the best I've ever had, and I'm a great lover of cheesecake. It seemed a little pricey, but I thought it was just because of the cheesecake. This last time we were there I got a wrap and a slice of cheesecake and my wife got a panini and a slice of cheesecake and we each got a bottle of water - $40! She said her sandwich was good, better than I can say about my wrap, but again, the cheesecake was absoulutely fantastic. Now the ripoff part, I'm at home looking at the Majestic Deli website menu and the wraps are $6.95, her sandwich is listed at $7.95 and cheesecake (2) is listed as being $4.95 each.....I guess the water must have been $7.60 per bottle! Wow!

Best Pastrami on rye.
Talk about going twice, so did we. Great food. Now back in Miami and I have a pic of our sandwich and cream soda in my phone.

Great food
This was the only place that we went back twice to while in New York for five days.The food was really fresh and great value around $40.00 for four.We found it great if you were a picky eater because there was so much choice and we would def recommend it to our friends.

What a great breakfast!
Arriving on a cold wet Friday morning from the UK, we had just three nights and four days to sample the delights of NYC--thank goodness for the Majestic. They made ordering and eating easy and enjoyable. Got to eat Pancakes, Spanish Omelette, Toast, Bacon and Egg on Bagel and Fresh Fruit Salad. All were deliciously fresh and well cooked. We will return!!
