Decent food, but terrible service
I've been to Maison for brunch and also ordered delivery. The food is decent, though I've stuck to sandwiches and crepes and have never gone for one of the main entrees. The problem here is that the service is pretty much straight up dumb. The waitresses forget orders and seem totally out of it all the time, and not even in a pretentious way like they just have no idea what they are doing or trying to accomplish. When I ordered via Seamless, the delivery guy called me 3 or 4 times asking me where I was even though my receipt says my street address as well as cross streets...and I'm only four blocks away from the restaurant. I'm in a large conspicuous apartment building where the only other residence on the block is a construction site that doesn't even have walls yet...he kept asking me what side of the street I was on. I'll probably still risk this place because I like light French food, but man, the service hurts.

Too many other restaurants...
My wife and I live in the area and use to go there quite a bit if we felt like going somewhere more casual and lower on the pay scale. Many times the wait staff just doesn't get things right, and the last time I was there they were just plain stupid - trying to force us to sit on top of other people in a quarter-filled restaurant. We just walked out. There are way too many other top restaurants in NYC to put up with that.

Delicious
I have been eating here for years and love the indoor space - it feels like an authentic Paris bistro. The menu is great and the food is super tasty. Great crepes, mussels, sandwiches and appetizers. I have introduced many friends to this place and they all rave about it.

Nice experience
My daughter works in the area, and I was in town with a friend from Neb., so we decided to give it a try. The service was excellent, the atomosphere divine and the food was to all our likings. For 3 of us for just entrees, it was 52.00. I would def go back

Disappointing
Perhaps even very disappointing because of both the food and service. The pasta primavera was mediocre at best, owed largely to the use of enough cream to make one think of alfredo sauce. My colleague ate (or, more accurately, stared at) a salad that was equally low-grade undersized and more appropriately named a bowl of romaine lettuce. The service was no better. Water glasses remained empty, the table next to us received the wrong order, and it took nearly 40 minutes for our food to come out. The wait was particularly vexatious because we were eating on our lunch break. I won't go back.

Not recommended
Been here twice. The second time only because for some reason I forgot about the first. The service here is unbelievably poor. Perhaps the waitresses are overworked, but they are unabashedly bad at their jobs, asking you what you ordered after bringing you the wrong meal like its a right of passage. The food is fatty and bland, and though sitting outside is nice, after a while it feels like one of those skyscrapers is going to come down on you. Its not terribly priced, but you wont walk away happy.

Good food. Iffy service...
Food here was pretty goodI had the salmon salad sandwich (crepe portions seem small btw.) .Seating hostess was extremely picky when giving us seating. One thing if it's crowded and quite another when there are plenty of seats open. I would say from the places I've been in the city, service here was not so great and not sure I would return.
