Great Burger, not focused much on service
I've been here many time since the restaurant is right around the corner from my work. The locale is great with the ourside dining. But every time I go here I readily expect the service to stink. It is like the are giving you the entire French experience. Burgers are very good as are the mussels.

Bad couscous merguez
Went there for lunch today and was happy to see the couscous merguez on the special of the day. I couldn’t be more disappointed when I saw my plate. The portion was ridiculously small. Not even kid’s size. 2 small merguez sausages and one table spoon of coucous. I was shocked and asked if they did not give me the appetizer size by mistake. I can understand that they only give you 2 small sausages but they could have least put a normal portion of couscous which is so cheap. Not even talking about veggies or broth. They were inexistent. I guess they have no clue what a couscous is. The only worth thing ordering in that place is burgers. Stay away from the rest. They don’t serve real French cuisine.

Great Neighborhood Spot
I actually really like this place. The service has always been good and the food is good too. I find the prices pretty reasonable considering it's location in midtown. Good spot, great for people watching and they never rush you out.

Good food, Poor Service
Went here with 3 friends for lunch. Th outdoor seating is great on a nice day and my croque madame was delicious. The service, however, is the downfall of the restaurant. While ordering, we asked the waitress to cut one of the sandwiches in half. We were told no special orders, they were too busy. We had at least 6 empty table around us. And since when is cutting a sandwich in half a 'special order'? If she wanted to be a decent waitress, she could have cut it in half herself before serving it. 5 seconds. Simple as that. There's no effort at here. But we're New Yorkers. We'll take outdoor seating where we can get it when it's not terribly expensive. And I guess they know that.

French??? not realy
I am french so i was happy to find french braserie next to my hotel . Odered goat cheese salad , which should be very safe to order in US , its very simple . But to my surprise ......it was terrible ,with weird salad leafs , haricot verts????!!! with goat cheese!!! and other none sence stuff which you cant mix with goat cheese . its so simple to make it . LOve the one in Le'Express on park av ! the best and only real truly french braserie in NYC . Maison is rubbish .

Brunch
For the location, the prices are not bad and the food reasonable. Although the service needs improvement, the mushroom crepe was decent. The thin french toast with blueberries was disappointing. There are two entrances so be sure to sit inside the restaurant from Bdwy rather than under the tent from 7th avenue. It is warmer, cozier and feels like a french bistro from the Bdwy entrance. Don't expect complimentary bread but a pot of good tea is served rather than just a cup of lipton when ordered of course. It's open 24 hours.

Great Steak Frites.
I have to admit that I haven't tried the rest of the menu, but their steak frites is among the best I ever had. Nice decor but a little drafty inside.
