Maiden Heaven

I have been going here for many years, more than 10 on and off. The staff are trained in portion control that is annoying to watch. I have never seen a place where the staff is constantly taking food out of the precooked area to make something only to begin the process of parsing down the portion and putting small pieces back to the precooked area. The order process is chaos you can be the only person in the place, order a bagel and then come out after five others have been served sandwiches. The owners stay in the background and seem more involved with the steam-table than the grill or register. The food is just average and very undersized for the cost. It should be a place of last resort as going there will only end in some type of disappointment. I considered all I had to say and tried to be fair and honest.

I came here for lunch last Thursday and was impressed that that had so many options of food to eat. I had the hot salad bar ($7.45 / lb) and what can I say.. The food did look dried out, but was just good. Nothing but your average deli salad bar.. The cashier was rude.. She replied to me "Are you finished?" she could've asked if there was anything else I liked, but whatever.. On to the dining space .. You have to go down stairs to sit in a dark room ( bad vibes much) with tables that at least had a working fan.. Ovrerall, it wasn't an outrageously poor experience, but it could've been a lot better.. I wouldn't recommend it.

Avoid this place. Rotten people serving overcooked, too garlicky, dried out slop. If you're going to serve food with a side of smart-mouth comments, you should probably make sure the food is excellent. Otherwise, just give the customer what they want & with a smile & say thank you for shopping here.

Three trips in a row now, I have given this place another shot. First, after wating in line for a Greek Salad, I was rudely handed a menu, and the woman behind the counter served the customer behind me. Greek Salad, pretty basic. I walked. Second, egg-whites, swiss , and ketchup on a wrap. American cheese and flooded in ketchup. Hit the trash on bite #2. Finally, one more shot, I ordered 2 egg-white wraps, swiss, and a "very, very small bit of ketchup", and turkey sausage. Received 2 egg-white wraps with American, ham, and drenched again in ketchup. I even asked "Is that ham?" and the response was "No. turkey sausage." It was ham. 15 clams for the 2 wraps and both of us spit the first bite out. All in all, the place is sloppy as it gets. Dishonest/rude staff, overpriced food. I give up. Not going back.

I work nearby and order lunch every day from here. The salads and burgers are great. Occasionally, I'll do breakfast. The guys working the grill and the ladies on the coffee bar and registers are incredible. 5 stars for Service!

The prices are a bit high and the worse part is that they charge for every little thing, butter, jelly, muster, anything. In addition, they sometimes charge you differently, depending on who is on the register.

the special menu sandwiches are great and they change everyday i have been going there for years and never been disappointed and excellent service..
