Unfriendly place for expensive food. Not worth the travel. Come to Woodside for atmosphere, hospitality, better value and quality of food. Maharlika is like a matchbox size good for Pizza place or bakery.

my college friends from the Philippines who are now living or working abroad had a reunion here in NYC, we were all excited that a Filipino Restaurant exist in NYC, only got disappointed that the food we were expecting did not taste filipino at all. they should have said that its a fusion of filipino and something else. and its too expensive. would not recomend to filipinos who know what a good filipino food is. :(

very expensive, for Philipino food...trying to look hip for a neighborhood its located at..very small feels boxed in not very friendly to new Iam Philipino but dont look it because Iam understand the language very well .... I was looking for a place for a family get together however I was very dissapointed.

Service and atmosphere wonderful but food lacking. to me, food lacked that careful balance that separates filipino restaurants from ordinary and outstanding. feel like cuisine got carried away and fused all sorts of different flavors that just don't make sense to me.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. why would you spend top dollar for some crappy food? Don't go here the food is just not good!

You should try the "Filipino Pride Chicken "N" Ube Waffle. I've never tasted anything like it before! It was awesome! The ube waffle was served with butter mixed with bagoong (salted shrimp paste) and a caramel syrup. The combination was just incredible. So Yummy! The chicken was fried to the perfect crispiness! All servers were friendly and very helpful with the menu. I was very impressed with everything about this restaurant. I will definitely go back there again with my friends!!

It's not expensive considering this restaurant is in New York City, not JC or Queens. The decor is so interesting and so tastefully done. I don't think this was meant to be "fancy" Filipino food. I'm not sure there is such a thing, unless affixing the word fusion. They did a great job cooking up old favorites! Arroz Caldo was amazing. sizzling Sig-sig isn't my thing but it sure went down well with the San miguel beer! Lechon Kawali was to die for!! The host and owners are so pleasant and accommodating! The cocktails are clever and delicious. Try Pacquiao’s Punch or anything with kalamansi!
