Terrific!
We had a delicious and delightful meal last night. Food excellent. Presentation excellent. Service excellent. How great to have this class act in this neighborhood. We'll be back, bring friends and will also order in.

Service is apalling
The food is ok and is a buffet for lunch. They did bring water and nan bread to the table. When it came to pay the bill, they refused to give change. The person at the cashier claimed that they "don't have enough to give change to everyone." The person finally gave me change for a 20 but not until after all of us complained and also tried to pay the bill and get change a second time. Its too bad but will not be returning there...

Attitude goes a long way!
As an employee in the neighborhood, it is nice to have a different lunch option when you get tired of having the same food all the time. I was really excited and fully enjoyed this place, when I came across it a year ago. I would bring new customers often, and introduced many others to this restaurant. Until... Strikes 1, 2 and 3. Call me petty, but even if the food is 100% fabulous, I still expect courtesy and respect and pay attention to customer service at any establishment and appreciate that I can choose where I spend my hard earned dollars. So after strike 3, they are out! I will not be returning here. I will not be recommending others to this place. Yes, the food is tasty, the lunch buffet used to satisfy, but after dealing with the attitude of the staff (maily the one that takes your check and order at the door) ugh! Maybe i'm just petty, but you don't get to tell me with an attitude that I am limited to one napkin at a buffet-when there is a party of 12 at a table!

Consistently Good Dine In
Went back again after a year away and again the service was cordial, efficient, and the food served in the right order, right temperature and was flavorful! Not your typical Indian place -- this place is roomy, table cloths and flowers. Given that little India is 60 blocks south, so if you are feigning for Indian and don't want to schlep, think this will do nicely. btw, they have there liquor license now -- nice choice of reds (moderate price $19-27). Beers too. Enjoy.

Delicious
My boyfriend and I just ate here tonight and we both loved it! Great food. Friendly staff. We will be going back. Highly recommended.

What's wrong here?
The service is poor. Empty restaurant, five waitstaffers yawning, talking, going out for cigarette breaks (I'm guessing this was the reason). Just the beginning. Now for the food. I've eaten here before. Curry dishes used to taste of curry. Spices are now indistinguishable. Sauces all the same. Managers need to be on site when customers show up. Too bad. Last visit for me.

Chicken Tikka Marsala rocks!
What can I say..the UES finally has a bona fide Indian joint. Baluchi's?..lol. It's like these two places are in completely different businesses. I know I can be rough on the food slingers out there but when something deserves praise, I give it. I will just say, like my title does, that their Chicken Tikka Marsala is divine.
