Expensive!
$2.75-3.25 for each cupcake? Get outta here!!! But hey, I bought some. The chocolate on chocolate was delicious and not too sweet. The orange cupcake with meringue frosting was ok. Red velvet - blah! Overall, waaaay overpriced! Cupcakes should cost $1.50-2.00 each. Flourless chocolate cake for $3.00 was more worth it.

A bit heavy on sugar, but heavenly overall
I love their icing. But after eating 2 cupcakes back to back, I gotta say, they a little to sweet. However, the texture is very creamy and smooth. The actual cake part though, was a little dry the last time I went. I do suggest getting their apple cider to go with a cupcake though- if balanced the sweetness out. And the place itself smells wonderful!

Way Overpriced!
This is all hype and is a perfect example of how everyone follows the crowd in NYC. Completely over priced.

Magic Cookie Bar
I have to say that their magic cookie bars are to die for. The lines tend to be very long but they have many employees and the line goes by pretty quickly. If you are ever around try their magic cookie bar or their banana pudding.

great cakes, crap service
I think the bakery offers amazing cakes, but the staff there do not have a clue how to handle customers or how to create order in the queues. The service is horrendous!!! Staff rather evidently choose to chat amongst themselves in the back rather than help in cutting down the lines!!Don't get me wrong, the food is amazing and I would go back again, just not to this branch.

Former fan
I'm actually a huge fan of magnolia cupcakes and prefer this location to the tiny greenwich village spot. Tonight I went in for my usual cupcake and was surprised to see that the cupcakes and brownies were much smaller than usual and if I'm not mistaken, the icing tasted different too - thinner and less sugary. Hopefully just a bad night and not a new trend.

Cupcakes OK
I haven't actually been to a Magnolia yet, but my roommate got me the Devil's Food cupcake. I've been reading reviews about wannabe SITC girls crowding the place, and that's exactly what I think of when I imagine my roommate waiting on line there. She says that Magnolia is better than a bakery close to home, but I'm going to have to disagree. The cake was a little crumbly, but OK overall. The frosting was tasty too, but nothing to go crazy over. I was shocked to look at my roommate's receipt and see "3 for $9". I can pay $2 for a cupcake of equal size near my apt, and those cupcakes are better!
