I'm Addicted!
Love this authentic Mexican place. Staff is so friendly and I am addicted to it! The Huevos Rancheros, tostadas, cruncy French Toast...would eat there everyday if I could.

low-key, inexpensive mexican/american food diner with awesome brunch and lots of vegetarian options.

Perfectly Decent Mexican
Magda's was perfectly acceptable Mexican. It didn't blow me away, but it was certainly better than the sub-par Tex Mex grub that is Fresco Tortilla. The veggie enchiladas were a little sparse, but the Mexican enchiladas were good. I'll definitely order again when I want Mexican and don't feel like leaving the apt.

Best Mexican in Brooklyn
If this place were a few blocks closer to Metropolitan Ave, it would likely be a madhouse at brunch time. Everything is delicious and considerably inexpensive. There are also many vegetarian options. The people who work there are attentive and sweet and not in your face. My mama is Mexican and I am from L.A - so far Magda's menu is the only one to live up to my lofty expectations for authenticity.

Excellent Food, Excellent Value
We go to Magda's at least once or twice a week. Nothing is pre-made, everything is fresh and made to order. The food is always great, and every time the bill comes we are shocked at how inexpensive it is! I absolutely recommend Magda's - but also like that it is a "well-kept secret" in the neighborhood. (Try the chips/pico as well as the steak burro.)

Real Deal Hidden Gem
Unlike Enid's, this place actually warrants a line outside- although you won't find one. Perhaps its location right near the BQE keeps big brunch crowds away, but the food definitely won't. Very tasty and imaginative Mexican twists on classic dishes (Mexican BLT, Huevos Mexicanos), veggie-friendly breakfast options (Tofu Scramble, Fakin Bacon), in addition to yummy standards like tortas and tacos make this place worth any trek. I'm from Texas and this place came SO close. The coffee and chips & salsa were all fresh- that's right, FRESH CHIPS. The service was a tiny bit lackluster, and the place could use a jukebox of some kind, but the food was definitely on point. You will leave satisfied. Mexican hot chocolate with soy anyone?
