Subpar place all over
Avoid this place! Service was simply subpar.. The waiter was not friendly and the food was very very mediocre. I love Indian food and thi space was a big disappointment. Will never go back here. Try the ones nearby for a better deal.

I don't know what the complaints are about
I've been coming here for years and never had a problem with the service. Tonight the waiter was especially friendly and helpful. The food was great as always, the buffet lunch is a terrific value and they took my restaurant. com coupon without a fuss. You just have to follow the rules which is one coupon per table. Overall I recommend it highly.

Possibly overcharged, unfriendly service
Today my family and I had dinner at this restaurant, and when I walked in I was impressed by the atmosphere of the restaurant... Very pretty and well-designed. What I was NOT impressed about was that, when asked for the bill/receipt, the lady at the counter refused (yes, she simply refused) to produce one. The overall bill came to a bit more than we expected, even though we had a dosai each and not much else, but we weren't allowed to check what we had ordered. Very dodgy. Also, some of us couldn't finish our dosais so we wanted to pack our leftovers, and when the waiter came back to us to give us the containers, he didn't have even a smile on his face - he wasn't friendly at all. I'm not sure if it was because we weren't Indian/Caucasian... But for a place that looks that stylish, I didn't expect this kind of attitude. I wouldn't come or recommend this place to others, that's for sure.

Bad experience for Students
Extremely bad experience at Madral Mahal. They worked w/ Groupon to advertise a deal, that we purchased and got us into the restaurant but didn't honor it when we were done w/ our meals. My roommate and I first found out of about the place through the website called Groupon.com/Now where they had a deal that said spend $8 and get $15 dollars worth of food. We both purchased a deal each and decided to pay for our own meals. But they did not honor both Groupons. Final Bill - Two buffets - $10.95 each - 21.90 One can of Coke - $1.95 Total with Tax - $28 and change Only one groupon applied - ( - $15) Credit card paid - $13 and change

my favorite for years!
This place is addictive! I have been a regular customer for years - mostly delivery and occasionally dining in. The lunch buffet is awesome. Love the dahi iddly, chats, palek paneer, vegi korma, dosas, mango lassi, and the yummy desserts!

greasy, bland food
The food came fast enough and the guy on the phone when I ordered was nice, but everything was either super-greasy or bland. My boyfriend will eat anything, and even he couldn't eat this. I won't be ordering from there again.
