    You can't go wrong

The lines go out the door on weekends because everything is good. Pancakes, french toast, omelettes, potatos....all just what you'd expect from a great neighborhood diner. The servers are real pro's; they get it right and they get it fast.

    Best Diner in the Area

Keeping to typical diner fare (read: Burgers, Sandwiches, simple Salads, stand-by breakfast dishes) yields pretty darned good results here. Some surprises, like a very good chicken parmesan sandwich or challah french toast, are worth coming back for. Decent service, clean, easy. Just about the best middle-of-the-night or "where do we eat tonight" place in the east mid-50's.

    5-Star on all Counts

Staff is friendly. Madison's food is better and fresher than any other diner's in Manhattan. Highly recommended.

Best Hangover Cure in the City

Madison is great place to go late at night with friends or a lazy Sunday afternoon. Madison?s menu resembles a small novel so everyone is bound to be happy. Highly Recommended.

    average fast diner food

Madison is a typical neighborhood diner/coffee shop that is a bit over-priced in terms of quality. I order very often as it is the only diner in the immediate vicinity. In general the food is dependably bland. I can only reccomend sticking to basics though even then, they have managed to deliver such things as under-cooked grilled cheese and burned soup. It is clean though and the service, while rushed, is friendly. Deliveries arrive quickly.
