I went in to Madison Restaurant this morning to get an egg sandwich. I ordered a bacon and scrambled egg on a bagel, it came back with 1 egg 2 slices of bacon and was 8 dollars.

My husband and I both ordered the quiche lorraine- it had to be one of the more frightening dishes we've ever been served. In the afternoon sunlight, you could clearly see that the bacon was pinkish-specks of imitation bacon known as bacos, a soy product. The quiche itself clearly had been microwaved and was this soft, gloppy, salty-otherwise tasteless mess. The salad served with quiche was OK, as was the fruit at the beginning of the meal. Definitely avoid the quiche, it can only be likened to some sort of institution food.

This was the third time I got sick after I had their home fries with my omelette from them. I gave them 3 tries so I could be sure. They might have used the same oil to deep fried that home fries for months.

This diner is a little out of my way, yet I still keep coming back. To start, if you eat there for diner you get a wonderful bread basket. I usually order one of the specials and I'm always satisfied. I've liked their roast beef special, their linguine with fish cakes, and the meatloaf. All the soups are delicious, too they taste homemade. For breakfast I highly recommend the eggs benedict... I happen to think they're the best in town. I wasn't as impressed with the turkey dinner special. I found the meat a little too dry for my taste and I'm not a fan of apples in my stuffing... but others might like that. I agree with another review, the orange juice is to die for. It's freshly squeezed. Also, I find the service excellent. I always feel taken care of and my husband and I stay for a few more minutes to read our books. Beware, if you plan to visit the diner on Sundays, it's packed. Luckily this diner is pretty roomy. Oh and one more thing, if you're like me you probably leave a lot of food on your plate. Just ask to take it with you. The food here tastes great when it is reheated. Provecho!

My boyfriend and I LOVE this diner. Not only do we love this diner but so do my parents. We all live in the neighborhood and go to the Madison almost every weekend. My boyfriend loves the eggs over easy and I love their fresh fruit salad with cottage cheese as well as my boyfriend. The food is fresh and wonderful. It is also open late for you late night munchers. However, don't be fooled by the cookie assortment on the menu because the cookies are quite large. Only one cookie is needed per table. The juice is very fresh sqeezed, oh and they have good oatmeal. I would suggest the Madison for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a late night snack. ENJOY!!

If you're in the mood for breakfast this is the place to be. Good portions, fresh food, and excellent service. Despite the plethora of options in the area I found myself returning there every day for breakfast. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, and although its the one item I felt was a bit too pricey, its well worth it if you really enjoy juice.

Took refuge & comfort here once after being stood up once, long ago. [Quality comfort food too...] Most excellent staff with fresh fare to offer. Highly recommend all that you'll find within.
