Wow!
We came here on a recommendation from a friend and wow were we impressed. The food was the best and the margaritas were the best we had ever had and very potent. The guacamole was to die for. We are going back to New York in April and Mad Dog is high on our list of restaurant to return to.

Great Atmosphere
We came here one night and thought the place was really nice. We opted for inside as outside was crowded with all the suits and ties. Ordered a delicious marg that must have a sprinkle of fairy dust in it or something because you feel it right away. They are definitely not skimping on the tequila in this drink. They also serve it in a cool Mexican hand blown glass. The food was amazing! We had the Fajita and it was the show stopper everyone stopped and stared at it it as it was sizzling toward us. The sauce was delicious and definitely worth the $ you can tell they use quality ingredients and its marinated perfectly. One reviewer wrote your better off getting your Mexican food of a truck. My response to that is go right ahead I'll keep visiting my new favorite spot for Delicious yum. Just another note if you guys don't have the money to go out and eat then don't! I mean really? The place is super cool and the food and drink are great. It's an experience.

Honestly, Chili's is better
The food at this place is horrible. The margaritas are good and sitting outside on Stone Street is nice, but do not go there to eat. I swear that we would have had a more enjoyable meal if we got on the Path train and ate at Chili's in Jersey City instead. Bland, bland, bland tasting, overpriced and the kind of meal that sits twisting in your stomach all night after you've finished eating. There are so many other choices on Stone Street, do yourself a favor and go to any place else.

Definitely overpriced & overrated.
Ordered takeout and I completely agree with the previous reviews saying it's overrated, and overpriced.

The best way to describe the food at this restaurant is overpriced and mediocre.

Yes they are overpriced but their food is delish without the lard and oil.

Never again
Go there for drinks after work and its nice for that. However, we ordered take out from there and it didnt go well. Its overpriced. This food doesn't "travel" well especially when guy shows up with $200 order and is waiting for cash after you paid over the phone for it. Complete mess and bottomline is $200 worth of cold food shows up and an offer of a few desserts..keep it...and keep this place.
