Updated review from 2011* - Although M is open late night, delivery is severely slow (2 hours) and the food is inedible. The last two times I ordered after 1am, my low mein was a bland mess. The pork buns are now always hard as a rock on the bottom - I assume from being frozen and then not steamed properly - definitely NOT worth the hefty price tag. I've come to love the soups, which is now what I mostly order in this cold weather. The veg sesame pancake is as good as ever. Service has also taken a dive.

The last time we ordered (News Year Day), it was for pick-up. While waiting for the food for pick-up they spoke so low a few of the customers were getting confused if their order was ready or not. I made that mistake and was met with "Oh it happens" and a whole lot of attitude after I questioned the fact that my order was wrong and it had someone elses name on it. That's fine, I can deal with me making an honest mistake, whatever. I get my order and of course as usual she asks me if I want hot sauce,Mind you, it isn't THAT packed nor are the phones ringing off the hook. I go back expecting a nice take out dinner when I realize, I don't have a fried egg as I ordered. The I realized instead of the Shredded Beef soup they just gave me the Marinated Beef with a side of broth. At this point I was like, OK we need to resolve this. I call them and get a quick, "please hold". I wait, wait, wait... wait... wait... and wait some more. I hang up and try calling back. BUSY SIGNAL. Now this goes on for at least 30 mins. I finally get the same person on the phone and she tells me, "hold on let me get someone who can help you with this" (so now she admits she can't even help me get my order correct by passing me off). I wait some more and she comes back on the phone to inform me they are extremely busy and to call back. I try and calm down as she puts me on hold AGAIN and finally just hang up. After going through the BUSY SIGNALS once more I finally get her on the phone and am met with a casual, "oh yea you are the one with the order wrong". She puts me on the phone with who I guess was the manager for the evening. I explain everything to him and I tell him what is the easiest way to resolve this so my order is correct. He first begins by saying "oh so what part of the ordered got messed up . I took a moment in shock and said, "well actually this and this was incorrect on the order". After everything was said and done, he decided the easiest thing for M Noodle to do since they were SO BUSY (like no other restaurant in WBurg is busy?) is to just refund my order. Talk about taking the easy way out. t.

The food's not bad and it's a decent price, but good lord don't ever expect the food to show up in a reasonable amount of time. Right now we've been waiting almost an hour and a half for our food. And this isn't the first time we've been told to wait 45 minutes, an hour for what should be a half-hour long wait. Not worth it.

Quality Chinese fare - not the greasy stir fry glutenous neon orange glowing $6 lunch special (which I also totally love) - it's sliced pork belly over steamed rice, fresh pickled vegetable sesame pancakes, crispy double pan fried noodles and the best steamed roast pork buns you can get outside of Chinatown ($7 price tag totally worth it). Try the cold sesame noodles, they are surprisingly good. The house special lo mein is a steal at $7. I'm not a fan of the soups, but there are so many other great things on the menu. The back garden is super lovely when the weather is fair. The staff always efficient and fairly friendly.

Clearly the competition in the neighborhood is posting a lot of negative reviews of this place trying to keep people out. The food is fantastic...vegetable dumplings are delicious, the fried rice is perfect, and the noodle with beef and tomato is absolutely addictive (although very greasy). The negatives: Delivery takes too long - I almost always wait an hour or more for 3 items which is ridiculous...and as I said the noodles, while very tasty, are super oily and they make you feel like you just rubbed them all over your face instead of eating them... but the food is spectacular and I think the haters on this thread are just people who own other Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood.

I just got delivery. Anyhow, this is the best Chinese in town. I had taken to getting Chinese food in Chinatown and carrying it home because every place around here was boderline inedible. But tonight I tried M Noodle and loved it. The steamed roast pork buns were great. The lo mein with rice noodle and shrimp was very good. Yes, it was a tad skimpy on the vegetables, but because food prices have risen all restaurants are cutting corners. The shredded chicken with chilis is with jalapenos and is HOT, but really good if you like the heat. Giving M Noodle a big thumbs up.

M delivers delicious food at a great price. There are certain fat noodles there that I don't love (they don't travel well when getting delivery and I admit, seem a bit mushy for my taste) but a quick substitution to the egg noodles and it's all good! Love the little pork and chive dumplings and the marinated beef noodle soup are the best. (just ask for extra vegis if you are craving some more greens in your diet) Lovely broth and great atmosphere. Certainly I prefer to hit chinatown for a bowl, but this is a great local alternative at a great price. For people who don't know, they have a charming little outdoor area out back as well (you don't always have to sit in the front). And take out that you can get at 4am is definitely a plus.
