Good food at friendly diner
I eat in lyric diner once a week, and I really enjoy it. They serve very tasty food that costs much less than at others NYC diners. Service is friendly, food arrives fast, and place is clean. I will definitely come back and recommend this diner.

Poor delivery
Glad to see other posts regarding poor service and surly wait staff. I used to order from this diner in the late 80's it was great. Moved back to area recently service terrible, food only palatable diner food in area. too bad Gemini Diner in murray hill won't deliver this far. I may need to learn how to cook.

Not recommended
This place does not know how to take an order. They will "upsell" you stuff without your consent. They take FOREVER to deliver. Their food comes inedible. I recommend going to ANY other diner in gramercy than lyric... learned my lesson today.

Weird place
Food is decent, especially matzoh ball soup. Service is mixed. Some great bus boys, but some lousy wait staff. One waiter is very hostile. One time I asked him politely (with a smile) for a menu when I was not being helped out after several minutes (it wasn't crowded). He was clearly annoyed. When it came time to pay, he slammed the check on the table. Haven't gone back since.

Save your money, don't waste your time
The food is only fair, service very poor, and rude -- both at the restaurant and when you call to deliver. Should you call for delivery they send the delivery guy without adequate funds to make change (of a $20!), and then mandate that you overpay them -- saying they will send change back!! Huh! Obviously I have given them more than one chance -- but never again.

3 sandwiches made wrong!
Cute diner. My sandwich had guacamole and I ordered it with jalapeño and onions... When I asked what the guacamole was (bc I thought I ordered the wrong thing) he said "yeah, that's jalapeño and onion" really? So this other guy came over and said that it was wrong so they fixed it. Then my bf ordered a chicken Philly wrap... They gave him a chicken Caesar. So they took it back and brought out a Philly cheese STEAK! So they took it back and finally got the sandwich right, but fries were cold! Why they didn't just leave us with the fries? Dunno. The food is so good but the service is poor. And its not even a language barrier, they don't write down orders! They just "remember" them. Geez.

Not recommended
Consistently get the deliveries wrong and make no apologies. Called to complain and they actually said "it happens.". Overpriced, mediocre food with bad service. Skip it.
