Fantastic Chinese
We have been ordering regularly for over two years. The food is fantastic and the service is unbelievably quick. The only other place we have had chinese as good is Shun Lee West and this has a more interesting menu and is a better value. We highly recommend. We have never had dinner at the restaurant.

Very pleased
We've now ordered from here a couple of times, and both times the ordering process was simple/competent, the delivery was quick, and the food was outstanding. Interesting menu, and both the unusual items and the old standbys were terrific. A bit pricier than some other Chinese, but really worth it. Since I've never eaten there, can't speak to atmosphere, but still gave that category a high rating since all the rest was so good.

Surprised at the number of good reviews!
Went here based on all the great recommendations. Couldn't have been more disappointed! Service was very good. Definitely a nice and clean atmosphere. Decent prices by NYC standards. Sadly, the food was not good...at all. Mediocre dim sum selection. Awful crispy duck. This is Chinese food for people who don't like real Chinese food. Flavorless and overcooked.

Love eating there -- delivery's a nightmare!
I love eating at Lychee house but I just recently tried to order delivery for the first time. The woman on the phone was rude. I ended up canceling the order before it was placed.... I will never order from there again and may not frequent the restaurant in person.

Great Shanghai Food
We had a really pleasant dinner in a very relaxed, comfortable space. The Chinese cuisine is elegantly prepared and presented- everything was perfectly cooked. The service is very good and although the prices may be higher than the average neighborhood restaurant, they are really not prohibitive. I'll return again when in the East 50's--

Not very good, very over priced...
The General Tso's Chicken was disappointing; sesame chicken alright. Honestly the only thing I would say was good were the deep fried crispy noodles and those should be.

fantastic chinese takeout
I had all but given up on ordering chinese takeout when I discovered lychee house. The food here is fantastic. The dishes are fresh, crisp and bright. Never heavy or oily. The only other place I have had chinese this good is Shun Lee. I have never eaten at the restaurant but I have ordered delivery once a week for several months. It is always a treat and you can't go wrong by giving it a try. The prices are a little expensive...but it is worth it!
