This place feels more like a local trattoria in Italy than most places you can find in NY. It's low-key and the emphasis is on the food. The new owner Michael is from Italy and bought the place for its coal-burning oven that produces some of the best pizza around. The rest of the menu covers a lot of territory and I've not had anything sub-par yet. The food is far better and the service a lot less overbearing than most of the plethora of over-hyped Italian restaurants around the city. No attitude - but great food at reasonable prices.

Call them - it's good - eat.

Great, great pizza. Really one of the tops I have had recently. But it is great pizza without the attitude of all the supposedly "famous" places. The decor could be better, so order in!

Luzzo's serves up a pie that is equal to if not better than John's or Lombardi's. The place is newer so the appointments are in great shape. The staff is very good and the service is well balanced; neither absent or pushy. There is a full menu and from what I could see the food being presented at other tables looked great. I will make this place a regular staple.
