If you like great food and large servings, great service and fresh Guinness, and nice people, get over to Lunasa!

Ok, not much of one to do reviews, and hate to give up my favorite secret spot, but this place is excellent! Seriously one of the best happy hours in the city (believe me, I have tried a lot of them). Being a beer drinker, the fact that draft beers (all 11 of them) are $3 between 4 and 7 pm makes for a great after work bar to meet up with friends (who can partake in the cheap beer, wine or well drinks). As for the food, I eat there regularly and have never had a bad item off the menu. As a matter of fact, I would say that it is some of the best bar food around. The burgers are AMAZING (I say better than the famous burgers at Paul's down the road - an EV institution), the pannini's are gourmet in style and taste and the apps! 1/2 price apps for happy hour! The calamari and chicken quesadilla are my favorites. Portions are very generous (almost a meal in themselves) and the quality is great. At $9 normally, I still consider them good value (the number of times at other places I have paid more than this for a small bowl of what seems like 15 pieces of chewy calamari...), but at $4.50, they are a steal!!! The fries, pita & chips, spring rolls and buffalo wings also rate well and are cheaper. Throw in a great bartender, nice waitresses and a fun crowd, and I can't think of much of a better place to have a couple of drinks and some good food. Enjoy!

I almost didn't write this review because I wanted to keep this place my little secret. Love this pub. These guys have the best happy hour from five till seven. They have half price appetizers (nice selection including pretty darn good calamari), and two for one draft beers. It's no thrills, no pretension, just good food, drinks, and fun. When they get busy it is sometimes hard to get a server to your table, but when the food and drinks are ordered delivery is pretty darn quick. Try the Black and Tan, Fishcakes, and Calamari. YUM. I give them a good solid A.

Went to grab a beer and watch part of a game the other day and was really impressed with the service and food. Friendly staff, and delicious paninis- well done!

Great atmosphere and friendly service. The half-price food items for happy hour are a STEAL and it's good, if a bit standard, bar food - quesadillas, wings, little egg roles, chips w/salsa, guac, and bean dip, etc.. No fru-fru about this place but it's far from being your typical dingy Irish pub. It's brighter, cleaner, and taken care of a bit more than that. Spoke with one of the owners (lovely Irish accent...) about hosting a party and he was incredibly helpful and friendly. While we all know this *shouldn't* be the exception to the rule, it often is!

I had a really good time at Lunasa with a few of my friends. We were there for happy hour - the bartender was great as he played a really great mix of music. The drinks were good and the price was right - 2 for 1 you can't do any better. I wiil be back back for sure.
