Great local Italian!
Friendly service, great pasta, and great pizza. My husband and I were looking for a local Italian restaurant by our hotel that offered originality. We found it at Luigi's!

The best
My wife an I just finished a take out order of eggplant parmigiana and chicken piccata. One came with pasta and one with salad and bread. Both dishes were great the salad fresh and tasty and the pasta done just right and sauce excellent all for $22.00. I am a New Yorker, Italian and my Mom taught me to cook....need I say more. Don't miss this place if your in the area, hungy and want Italian food.

Luigi's is great
It's one of the neighborhood pizzerias around here... there are several to choose from. I go back to Luigi's all the time. It's a small shop, a friendly shop. Kids from the nearby schools go there for lunch. The pizza is delicious - give it a try!

Awsome Gyros!
Strangely enough, despite the pizza they say is their really good thing, the gyros are awesome!

It used to be decent
What happened to Luigi’s? They used to make an acceptable slice. I stopped for a slice tonight, after not having been there for roughly a year, and, boy, was I let down. The crust was like white bread. The sauce had none of the Italian flavor we New Yorkers expect. They weren’t too generous with the cheese. On the bright side, the decor was still non-existent, and the floor was still filthy. But for pizza, a superior slice can be had a mere avenue away. I’ll walk the extra avenue next time.

Love it
First of all, as noted above, eggplant parm is not Luigi's strong point. This is a neighborhood pizzeria, with a nice menu of Italian dishes. To be honest, I stick to the pizza and chicken parmasean, which are both excellent. Luigi's sauce is excellent, the crust is thin and crisp. A solid slice of pizza.

Not for real New Yorkers
I just ordered Pizza from this place, which I remember eating at when I was younger and enjoying it. I can only remember ordering white pizza there, and now I understand why. First off, when I called I was put on hold for at least 5 mins while I could hear them clearly arguing in the background over who had to take the order! I should have hung up then but I still decided to order. The delivery was fast, I will give them that, but upon opening the box I discovered my pizza had been folded over to make room in the box! It was visually unappealing but still i tried it... and then I literally fed most of it to my dog. The pizza is very runny, the crust isn't thin/crispy/tasty, and the sauce is super sweet, which is not how pizza should be. My friend's from out of town always rave that this pizza is amazing, and I know understand why.. its the same crap you'd get in CT or some place like that.
