This is a classic old-school italian "joint", with your basics. They make great soups and heros. Although the pizza needs to be a little more well-done (at least for my taste), it has a great flavor.

If you're looking for great, old school italian food from your youth in Brooklyn, this is the place. Their red sauce is perfect and the prices make this place even better.

Best delivery Italian I've found. It comes hot and good and in big portions. Their pastas and pizzas are both delicious. The delivery service is fast, too. I'll keep ordering from Luigi's.

I was in the mood for pizza one night at around 11pm and recalled Luigi's was a few blocks from where I was living. So happy I went. The pizza was amazing, and the slice was HUGE! The staff was super friendly, and I still always go back for a large vanilla-chip italian ice. Have yet to try pastas, salads and other dishes, but I am sure they are great too.

Over the years I've tried every pizzeria in the neighborhood. And Luigi's is simply the best option. The pizza is good, the salads are excellent, and I highly recommend the stromboli and spinach rolls. Just remember to always request a side of sauce (they will never offer it). The food is always good, but don't go here looking for any bargains. Everything is a bit on the expensive side. I don't know why other reviewers knock the atmosphere. While other pizza places in the area all have a grimy, unclean feeling about the, this place is always clean and pleasant.

We've eaten here several times and the food is great. I think the Calzones are probably in the top 3 that I've ever had. The cheese Calzone has a bit of garlic in it which gives it a great flavor, and the Lasagna is also very good. Not to be forgotten are the pizzas, which are my favorite anywhere in the upper east side.

I've gone to Luigi's for a slice twice, and the atmosphere is not too wonderful. Their food, and the delivery thereof, however, is great -- their food, from their salads to their appetizers to their pasta to their pizza to their entrees -- will keep you loyal and ordering for years to come. Not cheap but worth it. They generally take about 20 to 30 minutes to get to me with pasta dishes, pizza and/or salads, and I am never disappointed. I've gotten heros, pizza, calamari and a variety of pasta dishes as well as veal parmagian and I won't be looking for another place to cure my Italian food jones, period.
