When I'm away from NYC I crave Luigi's

Luigi's has good food for a good price. I gave it a 3 for atmosphere, but for a pizza place it's good. Their pizza's great, not as thin as other places but still tastes good. Delivery is quick and they are always friendly at the counter. I frequent this place as it is 2 blocks away and easy when I don't feel like cooking!---plus they always have the Yankee game on.

    Disappointing

Undercooked slices with way too much cheese, too little saucy and a chewy crust. I was extremely disappointed. Pastas were also disappointing.

    You're still the One....

Still one of the best joints around. Great ambiance for a pizza joint. Love the tuna hero and grilled chicken salads. Prices are great considering the portions are humungous!

    Still Very Poor

This updates earlier review. Pizza is still pretty poor--tasteless crust, poorly done in oven, skimpy on sauce, greasy cheese what little there is. To add insult to injury, a slice costs $2.25 (!) when most in neighborhood go for $1.75. A couple of times the help tried to shortchange me too. Again, as several others here write,i if not for proximity, this place doesn't deserve to be open. The high rises nearby keep them in business.

    Favorite Spot

This place is great. I've been eating there 2-3 times a week for a year now. The pizza isn't the best in the area, but everything else on their menu is incredible. They have the best salads in the city and all of their entrees and pasta dishes are amazing. Highly, highly recommended.

    Mediocre

Its fine - I order from there sometimes but only because its close. The food is nothing special (often bland), but the other options in the neighborhood or only slightly better.
