This place used to be good but it seems to be going downhill. The pizza has no taste and the service is poor. I don't think i will be revisiting, you can only give a place so many second chances.

I have eaten a great deal of pizza in my life. The pizza here is all bread and poor cheese. There is no sauce and they sauce they use is mexican salsa sauce.

For some reason, Luigi's puts flour on all of its toppings so you cannot get toppings on your gluten free pizza. While I appreciate that they are aware of cross contamination issues and diligent, I wonder why they wouldn't have toppings available for the gluten free pizza. Also, why do olives, mushrooms and onions require flour? I can't get a straight answer out of them all I know is that I have had Still Riding gluten free pizza from other diligent pizzerias and they offer toppings so not every pizzeria dusts their toppings with flour. At the end of the day, this is the only place in my neighborhood that serves gluten free pizza, so I will continue ordering my gluten free plain cheese pie, but I would prefer toppings and would order it more often if toppings were an option.

I've been coming to Luigis for over 5 years now, and my advice re: the pizza is to ORDER SLICES. For some reason delivery pies aren't as great as the in-store slices (which are my favorite on the UES). Baffling but true. I can also now confirm the vodka sauce is incredible (thanks to all who recommended). Garlic bread, garlic knots and Italian Ices (when in-season) are also stellar. They have the friendliest guys behind the counter, too. Love this place!

I love the vodka sauce, but did not know it had pork in it. No wonder it tasted good. I agree with above, it should be noted, cause I don't do the swine thing. Mis leading, shame on you Luigi.

I ordered Gnocci with Vodka sauce. When it arrived it had meat in the dish. I called the restaurant and spoke to an Italian guy on the telephone. I asked him if the vodka sauce had meat in, being a vegetarian I was under the impression I was ordering a vegetarian dish. He said yes it has bacon in. I said I did not think vodka sauce was meat based and maybe they should mention on their menu that it is with meat. He said I don't have to change my menu for you. Vodka sauce has meat in and I should go and google it and call him back in 5 minutes. He said he was Italian and knows this. This really surprised me as I have been eating pasta in vodka sauce for years and had never encountered this. When I got off the phone, I called Tony Di Napoli's, Ottamanellis, Buon Gusto and Gino's. All the restaurants said vodka sauce's main ingredients are Tomatoes, Vodka and Cream. I googled vodka sauce and sure enough that were the ingredients. I did not find one recipe that had meat in it. If it did it would say 'Vodka sauce with Beef' or 'Vodka sauce with Procuitta'. I called back and spoke to the same guy again and he said he had asked his wife to check online and yes vodka sauce did not require meat but it could be added. So I said ok that proves my point, you should write on the menu with meat. Again he said I am not going to change my menu or the way I do business because of you. I guess neither I or any of my friends or anyone from my building will be ordering from there but what does he care! In anycase such a shame as it was such a simple point but serious lack of regard for customer service.

Hands down, the best seafood pasta I have ever eaten. At only $17 I was able to get a plate filled with seafood - with everything from shrimp to squid. Luigi is definitely not one to cheap you on seafood unlike most Italian eateries. The pizza is a little pricey but what place in Manhattan isn't. Amazing food - for people with good taste and not tight on the wallet.
