    Call In Gordon Ramsey

Ate here Thursday, 10/01/09 It seems like no one cares about the patron. Wine glass was about 1/8 full had to send back to ask for a regular filling. No bread while you wait "we don't do that anymore". The waitress didn't bring lobster eating tools and when requested, she brought a knife and fork! Asked her about a meat dish, her reply " I don't know, I don't eat meat." Had to pry the specials out of her. The food, however, was excellent. She brought the bill and never asked if we wanted dessert and/or coffee. I don't know what is happening here, it's a shame. We planned on a weekly venture as my partner lives around the corner and my mother has reason to be in the nabe every week. I hope someone takes heed and fixes this place. The food is delicious; as was Steak Frites'. Why are you running this place into the ground? Please someone stand up and take some responsibility!

    Fail.

Lucy Browne's has a great atmosphere with the doors and windows opened up in the summer allowing great sunlight to mix with the cooling AC, but that's about it on highlights for this place. The white napkins they use leave behind fuzz all over your clothing so setting your napkin on your lap made wearing black a bad choice! Apparently there are many complaints about this. Also, keep in mind that you pay for each soda refill. This isn't distinguished on menu and its quite surprising as the beverages come in a very small tumbler glass. The total cost of non-alcoholic drinks outweighed the price of 2 sandwiches and an appetizer. It was extremely irritating to see my bill this high over unsatisfying sized Cokes. All in all, this is NYC so you'll be able to find a place far better in a 2 block radius.
