Fun favorite
Our family of four orders from here often (and visits sometimes). We're big fans of the burgers, fries, special sauces and the chili. All good!

How do they stay in business?
Got a Famous Cheddar tonight, evidently their signature burger. Quite simply the poorest burger I've had in ages. Dry, overcooked, flavorless. Not crispy around the edges, but hard. The toppings and bun, individually alright enough, just didn't come together. This is my second visit there; was very disappointed by the first visit over a year ago, but thought I'd give them another try. They won't get another, too many better burgers in the neighborhood.

ambiance and food
The restaurant is dirty, staff is trashy and food is greasy and cheap.

Good Stuff
Just returned from Lucky's where I had the cheeseburger meal; cheeseburger, coke & fries. It was pretty good. The burger was well cooked and had all the fixins' (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion) the fries crisp and the soda was large (24 oz). All for $10.00. I'll be back.

Great burgers and fries! Maybe the best I've had in NYC.
This is my first review on Menupages. I just finished my dinner (delivered so fast!) and let me tell you, I am a happy camper. I ordered the Lucky's Famous Cheddar Burger and a side of regular fries. My husband got the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the angus chili. Both were so damn good! We didn't expect much and were blown away. I've been in NYC for 11 years now and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Good job Lucky's - we'll be ordering again and again.

Great 1st Impression
So this past Thursday, I happened to be passing the Lucky's on 52nd/9th and thought "Why not, go in! When was the last time you had a really good burger?!" I must say my 1st impression was an excellent one! 1st it took me forever to decide what I wanted because the choices were all so great. I went with the BBQ bacon burger w/fries. The cashier, after finding out this was my 1st visit and how much of a burger-lover I was, gave me a complimentary Black Cherry soda. Though I wanted to go home with my food, the gentleman who took my order asked that he see my facial expression based upon my first bite of the burger. And to sweeten the deal would throw in ANOTHER order of fries. I couldn't resist. Forget about the 1st bite, I devoured the burger right at the register...the bbq sauce tasted nice and sweet, the burger was juicy and thick, the bun was soft, and the grilled bacon AND onions topped it all. I didn't even need to add ketchup. The burger was great! The fries were excellent too. Then I was given the special Lucky's house sauce for the fries...SUPERB! I must say my 1st visit to LUCKY'S will be one of many. I CERTAINLY recommend. Great food, great prices.

excellent burger
Just went today for the first time and it definitely won't be my last. I got the Double cheddar and loved it. The chipotle mayo sauce is killer as well. Too many times while eating onion rings the whole onion comes out of the breading with the first or second bite, not so with these, and did I mention they also taste great. Glad I'm only a block away
