    Good lunch, good price!

Maybe this place has changed but we found it a great place for lunch in the midst of our touring NYC. We had a yummy, attractive turkey blt sandwich with fries. Price was $7. Outstanding value for the area where things are pretty expensive. Service was attentive and friendly. They did not even mind that we shared the sandwich....(we were really just looking for a place to chill while waiting for our hotel room to be ready. ). Will return!

    Singing the Blues!

I wonder if BB King knows just how soul-less and flavorless the food is at his restaurant in his namesake club. I thought I'd take my niece there for a special, overdue birthday celebration. What a mistake (well, she picked it!). Firstly, can they not keep up with customer demand for items on the menu? My niece wanted to try the fried chicken. They didn't have it. We both wanted to try the collard greens. They didn't have it. I wanted the stone crab claws. They just "served their last order to someone else." My goodness, it was only 7:00 pm! We both then settled on the rock shrimp appetizer. On top of it not being anything special, we were made to wait 40 minutes for it! The excuse as stated by our server was that "all the orders are now starting to come in and that's why it's taking so long." ? What was she talking about? There were only 3 other tables with diners. Did she mean that we had to wait on the people who were attending the club section to order too? In any event, the appetizers showed up just as I had made up my mind to walk out. My niece ordered the roasted chicken and in addition to its dryness, it was not seasoned at all. I ordered a small filet mignon and it too was not seasoned at all. The barbeque or steak sauce that accompanied it was some of the blandest sauce I've ever tasted. My neice asked for sauce to "liven" up her chicken and something equally flavorless and watery was brought out. What a total disappointment and it "only" cost me $122.00. Never again!

    Looks can be deceiving

First trip to NYC, decided to give this place a go on an evening out. Restaurant was very cold, we repeatedly asked fro the air con to be turned down. Food was only ok and very overpriced for what we got. Drinks are overpriced as well. Service on the night wasn't great. We asked the waitress for salt and pepper, by the time she remembered we were almost finished, food ad gone too cold to finish anyway. I'd call it, just another tourist trap.

    Times Sqaure and Free Music

While the prices can be a bit intimidating it's nothing unseen in the Time Square Area, plus you get good (and FREE) blues music. Also when we went the portions were huge, we were able to make the leftovers from the mac and cheese and the shrimp and pasta dishes we ordered into lunch the next day. Not an everyday spot, but makes for a nice evening out in the area.

Great vibe, food and drinks to match

Some friends and I went to see a show at BB Kings and got some drinks beforehand at Lucille's inside the club. It was a little packed but it was fun, we started talking to some cute girls at our table and we all wound up going to the show together. The drinks were really good too, most places skim on drinks around Times Square but these were strong. After the show we were starving so we went back to Lucille's to eat and have a few more drinks. The food was actually really good stuff. One of my friends couldn't stop talking about the ribs, I got the pulled pork and spicy wings, which were intense. It was nice too that there was free live music at Lucille's. Overall I definitely recommend this spot, great food, great vibe, great music, great drinks.

Food has improved, music is top notch...

I've always enjoyed the music at Lucille's - let's face it, it's hard to beat free music in Times Sq., and on top of that it's always great. Years ago I ate the food and was slightly disappointed by the menu and quality, so I stopped eating there. However, last time we went we were informed that the club made some changes to the menu, so my buddies and I decided to try the food and we were surprised by improvement in taste and quality. My wife and I plan to go next week with with a group of friends, and though we know the music will be excellent as always, this time we're going for the food.

    Not recommended

Wow....subpar food, poor service and lousy seating. And to top it off it is ridiculously expensive. I ordered fried chicken which came out as unrecognizable pieces coated in what seemed to be a Shake n' Bake rip off. Absolutely no flavor and poorly cooked. The waiter was void of personality, or skill. and kept forgetting to bring water, clear dishes or even check back to see if we needed anything else. Aside from being crammed shoulder to shoulder with our table mates, our chairs were placed half way on the carpet and the floor, which made for a slanted and uncomfortable evening. I would tell anyone thinking about seeing a show here to find another venue.
