I go there all the time for the tasty ginger fried chicken, fried egg sandwich and a yummy chocolate cake. Their black currant lemonade is the best for hot days. The decor is realy cute with 40's looking booths and the staff is always friendly. Their flank steak is done just right when I order medium rare. I always enjoy going there. Recommended!

I am not generally one to write reviews but I am so disappointed with this place that I have to comment: The service is poor; the food is was not as good as the service. I ordered the flank steak. I'm not sure why the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked (I asked for medium) b/c it was "well-done" to the point of being difficult to eat. I am pretty sure that it was pre-cooked and re-heated in the oven. My friend ordered the seared tuna, which was not so much seared but wrapped inside a crepe which was fried to a burnt crisp on a pan. The residual heat "just" cooked the outside of the tuna. Unpleasant experience. Thank god the company was good!

I order from Lovely Day almost every single day; the fried rice is excellent. The portions are exactly right. I like the Pad Thai alot too! They know how to make a rare flank steak! Check it out!

This place is definitely overrated. The service was friendly, but not good. The chef doesn't know what "seared" means- I ordered the seared salmon salad, specifying "lightly" seared, and it came fully cooked. What's the point in offering a dish that can't be made? The orange cream dressing was pretty tasty, but not enough to get me to return. My friend's flank steak salad was also unimpressive. Trendiness only goes so far...

The seared salmon is on of the best deals around, very fresh and quite good. About $10 for a nice filet, salad, and sweet potato puree - I eat it twice a week.

....check this place out. The atmosphere is cool - eclectic hipster and usually hopping. The asian-style appetizers were very yummy. We had the summer rolls and ginger chicken (delicious!). Also, the ginger fizz is a nice treat for a drink and not too strong on alcohol content for those who want to take it easy. The entrees were dissapointing however. We shared the pork chop with sauteed green apples and mashed potatoes which was pretty good and the seared tuna which was a bit of a dissapointment. Basically, not quite worth the money. Next time, I'll just stick to the apps and drinks. Good music though! We had a good time.

*great value*, good food, nice atmosphere, pretty bad (but generally very friendly) service. Don't go if you have a chip on your shoulder about people who are way hipper than you. The fried rice is a great value and the ginger chicken is kickass (if greasy).
