Wanting to do something different for my Aunt and her friends, I decided that we should celebrate cuartro de mayo! Having eaten several times in the restaurant, I went there to find out how they would cater a party for 20. The staff worked out a suitable menu and the price was more than reasonable. The food arrived just when I had requested. Opening the trays was a wonderful experience, each was better than the last. Portions were very generous and the attendees at the party were thrilled with each dish! I recommend them for either dining or catering. They are concerned, thoughtful and eager to please. They will work with you and you will be more than satisfied.

Los Pollitos has some of the best mexican food and culture in Bayridge. All the food i have eaten there was fresh and tasty. I would recomend it to anyone looking for tasty mexican food.

I am not sure about where all the guys that were giving bad reviews ate, but it must not have been Los Pollitos in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. My fiance and I have been eating here for about a year now, and we LOVE it! Their chips are fantastic, and their salsa is to die for. I don't particularly love their beef (it's cut up steak, not ground beef), but my fiance loves it. I typically go for the chicken tacos, which are soooo good, and my fiance changes it up every time. We haven't had a bad dish yet! The atmosphere is nice. Low lighting, latin based music, etc. The service is excellent as well. Everyone tended to our needs and we have been there at busy times as well as dead times. In the summer they have back yard seating, which is one of it's main draws. Oh, and if you get anything other than the Sangria to drink, you are short changing yourself... to die for!

The decor is nice and the Guacamole and thats about it. I guess they cant really mess up on just squashing avocado. I went on a Monday so it was dead. Service? Well the restaurant was empty and my husband and I requested the corner table they denied our request stating taht it was a table for four and if four people came they wouldnt have a place for them. Funny thing was that the restaurant was empty and he was serious. So determined to enjoy our first night out w/o kids we put that aside, and continued to order , calamari ? subpar, empanadas ? the beef ones made me gag, Fish taco? also poor. The service was poor, he must be new bc he didnt know what was in the dishes. Oh the other dissapointment was I was in a mexican restaurant and the music being played was not mexican at all. I dont want to listen to Mark Anthony or India when Im eating MExican food I want the whole Mexican experience. So Save your cash for a better Mexican place this is not worth it

This place has great food. It is unfortunate that the portions are small and overpriced. I tried one of their tamale dishes, and what I got for $11 were more akin to square pancakes. The "stuffing" amounted to what must be half a tablespoon of filling. I could not even tell if the chicken I was supposed to have in it was even there. This did not have business being called an entree, and was about appetizer sized. Charging $11 for what amounted to about 4 ounces of cornmeal is nervy. To be fair, it WAS tasty, but for $11 I should be full and not thinking about what I should REALLY have for dinner. Very disappointing. I would suggest others check out similar restaurants in the neighborhood (that are just as good) that give you what you pay for.

YOU NEED TO TRY THEIR CHICKEN NACHOS WITH GUACAMOLE! ive tried nachos from different restaurant and nothing compares to los pollitos nachos :D
