Muy Gringo
Way more more TEX than MEX. And what's up with the prices? $20 for two gringo tacos with rice and beans? Really? The food isn't awful but it's about as Mexican as Chili's, and the level of quality doesn't match the price. Remember the Alamo!!!

No Bueno!
Went for dinner at Los Dos Molinos with a group of five. Four of us were drinking the "Ulimate Margaritas" at $17/gl as a group we had 12 total. They're good but not $17 good. We ordered the nachos which were basically tortilla chips with spicy chili topped with cheese. I wouldn't call these nachos. We also had their guacamole, which was flavorless. It tasted like chopped salted avocado and not much more than that. I had the green chili enchilada which was fine but nothing special. Whatever you do, check you bill and be careful when asking for sides of anything because you get charged between $3-$7 for the small stuff. Nothing is itemized on the check and they overcharged our group and added gratuity without telling us. It does say on the menu that 18% gratuity will be added to your group of 6 or more but we were 5 and would have left 20% if we had been informed of the added gratuity. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere unless you want bland but spicy overpriced New York Mexican food.

Fun and great Margs!
Have been to Los Dos Molinos a few times and plan to go back again very soon! Their chicken burros are amazing and the salsa is super spicy and delish! The margaritas are so strong and even though they are pricey, one will definitely do the trick! If you want funand low maintenance mexican food, Los Dos Molinos is perfect and the scene is super fun as well!

it was almost funny
I have lived in nyc my whole life and been to a variety of restaurants with variable service/food. This was by far the poorest dining experience i have ever had. The service was absolutely pathetic, and the waiter (who would vanish for extended periods of time) had a major attitude when we asked for drinks or asked to order food, umm isnt it a restaurant? We generally had to ask three to four times if we wanted anything which was slightly frustrating to say the least. Then they didnt offer to comp any of our drinks or anything after all the difficulties with the service, however, we complained and they took five dollars off the bill-so nice. But the OUTRAGEOUS part was when they took our credit cards (they would only take two even though we were a party of 8) and LOST MY CREDIT CARD...they were apologetic but it was unreal. They then said they would call at closing time and let me know if they found it (how does one lose a credit card?) but they never called and I havent been able t o reach them since and havent heard from them. This was the most unprofessional place i have ever been AND the food is yucky yucky yucky. DONT GO!

Put off!
I understand that service can't always be perfect, but we were seated with 5 people and were waiting for an 6th. We had three tables for 2 people each put together. The waiter came by and tried to take our third table and give us a chair for our friend to sit at the head! Our 6th person not only came soon thereafter but a 7th, and then we had to have her at the head of the table on the end that the waiters wanted, on the CHANCE that they might have more people at the table next to us (which there weren'tit was a Tuesday night). The waitress said, "I don't know" to every question we asked her about the food and did not come by to refill our water at all. The last page in the menu is a list of rules ("No free refills of chips and salsa! Only 2 credit cards per parties of 3 and more!"), so I guess at least they spell it out from the start. Because we had a party of more than 6, gratuity was already added but I would have tipped less if I could. I thought my food was highly mediocre...not enough flavor. However, my dining companions who had burritos thought it was the best Mexican food they had ever eaten, so I think it depends on what dish you choose. Well at least the chips were good.
