what happened to the hookah?
i love this place--one of my favorites, but beware: they're not letting you smoke hookah all of a sudden! must have been something to do with inspections, but let's hope they get whatever "hookah license" back soon!

Disappointing
We were here about six years ago on a visit to NY and had a great time - food was good, great atmosphere and service, and so we were anxious to return on our most recent visit. It was pretty disappointing though - noise levels were ridiculous, and only that we were given a table outside, wouldn't have stayed. Food was mediocre and didn't feel like value for money at all. The evening was rescued by the service from the extremely friendly staff. I won't be going back.

Now I need a hearing aid
I know L'Orange Bleue is all about the crazy atmosphere and festive mood, but do we need the music cranked to 100 decibels? I felt like I was eating in front of the speakers at a Metallica concert. I expected the madness, but not the insane loudness... The food was very good and the service was average. Maybe an outdoors seat is best unless you want a dining experience similar to that on a jetway.

It's a fun place to dine on the weekends
It's soooo busy! Love it. The crowd is youthful and friendly. Food is excellent. I enjoy sending friends there, because I get a big Thank You. Always.

Get a tan in SoHo!
Summer is all about sitting outside "L'Orange" and having some cocktails, be it wine or champagne, with friends. The sun beats down and you are chillin' in SoHo surrounded by tons of hotties. Get some spicy shrimp as an appetizer. Smoke if you got em.
