    Really high quality

This is my new go-to Asian place on the UWS. I was amazed by how high quality the food was. The meat tasted fresh and high-end, unlike most of the other Asian restaurants I've tried in this neighborhood. The food was delicious, good portion sizes, timely delivery. I hope it stays this good!

best thai & sushi joint in UWS.

Longgrain is a real delight-- compared to other establishments in the neighborhood, their entrees are flavorful, generously sized and delicious-- i get their curries or their string bean basil and eat for two days straight. And for 7 dollars, their lunch specials are a steal. Their sushi menu, while new, is the best deal in a 40 block radius. You can get three rolls for 9 dollars-- I usually do the philadelphia & shrimp asparagus, which are both delicious. the staff is very courteous & delivery is speedy-- i live on 145th st and food arrives hot. Can't say enough good things about this place. I hope it's around for a while.

    Stick with the basics

The pad thai, pad see yew, massaman curry, all the basics are decent. I can't speak to the more exotic items on the menu, but panfried noodles, with some shrimp, chicken or beef is decent. The lunch special is probably the way to go.

    NOT WORTH IT- try another!

We had a bunch of menus while house sitting and we chose this one. Not good. I ordered Brocoli in basil sauce and I got a container full of basil and a few brocoli BOTTOM pieces. Not very filling. He ordered lobster and shrimp with vegetables and rice. Sounds good right? It was NOT. They gave what looked like someone elses left over lobster head with NO MEAT! and only 4 pieces of shrimp. We were still hungry afterwards and we paid $45 for 2 meals. Definitely NOT WORTH IT.
