Best Polish food
My friends and I (two of us Polish) keep coming here even though we live on the UWS. Their stuffed cabbage and bigos are absolutely delicious, and the portions are heaping and priced extremely well. The barszcz and dzurek are both great, and taste like we make back home. I can't wait to try the veal balls next time we go, I have heard they are worth it. It's a fantastic deal for fantastic food. Sure the service is a little slow, but we've never minded - it gives us more time to chat, and doesn't make us feel like we're being hurried out of there (I'm looking at you other restaurants). The decor is charming and festive, and it isn't too far from the subway exit.

Poor service
Went to this place with a friend from the Ukraine. We had to ask the waitress, who rolled her eyes the whole time, for water at least 4 times. Anyway, my Ukrainian friend requested stuffed cabbage with no meat and covered with tomato sauce. They waitress, who was as cold as ice, rudely told my friend they did not serve this dish. OK, not a problem. So we ordered several dishes, including borchst, pierogi, stuffed cabbage among others. We had to ask the waitress for sour cream three times. Each time she said she forgot and rolled her eyes at us! Never again. We were left cold, and our food was colder

Awesome!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! After reading an article in Time Out, my partner and I decided to try this place out. It is soooo cute inside! I feel like I am in my grandma's cottage...LOL The food is out of this world and soooo cheap. I'm a flight attendant and routinely stop by on my way to LGA for take out to eat during my flight. Let's just say the passengers are always envious of the aroma...hehe (I'm so evil) LOL!

hooray lomzynianka
based on the reviews, my boyfriend and i had to check this place out ourselves. i'm so glad we did! the fake flowers, cheesy still life paintings and colorful streamers created a festive atmosphere. the sole waitress was pretty over-extended but she was sweet and attentive nonetheless. and our mushroom-barley soup, pierogies, veal balls with dill sauce and kasha were all delicious. the mashed potatoes were a little dry but that was our only complaint. will come back soon!

No better.
Lomzynianka makes me proud to be polish. I've brought so many people here to introduce them to polish cuisine because there is no place who does it better. Everything on the menu is delicious. I recommend the polish platter to get a taste of everything, and some pierogis (be sure to order a variety), and some potato pancakes, and some hungarian pie. And do not ever go without getting the white borscht. chunks of kielbasa in soup. It doesn't get any better. I travel a distance from Queens, but I keep coming back for more.

Polska
It was just awesome. I haven't had borscht since I was a kid, and this was wayyyyy better than the borscht I had as a kid. Also had pierogies they were good. Boy had the polish platter, which was astounding (I was a big fan of the bigos).
