This was an ok experience, I had never been here before, waiter and service was excellent. As for the food, I still can't quite understand why it gets so much attention other than maybe longevity and how tradition of the establishment was born. I've visited and lived in the many locations over 20 year and honestly I can think of many places that serve a more authentic, better tasting pizza with fresher ingredients. In fact I would rate Lombardi's on the lower end of the scale in that regard. If you want to go due to the tradition and experience it once then it's a must. As for the food, authenticity and ingredients a better taste and value could be found at a number of establishments.

I had Lombardi's back in April, it is thee best pizza in America. Being a world traveler, and food critic... it was in close running with a slice of pie from Italy, where the creation of pizza itself evolved. I will make this a stop when I'm in NYC. Get there early though, it gets crowded fast!! Oh, and they only take cash... no credit.

Lombardi's is absolutely delicious, the sauce is incredible, the crust is crunchy, the toppings are all natural as opposed to the traditional canned toppings some pizzerias add. I've been going to Lombardi's for over 4 years now and I have yet to have a sub par pizza.

Have been going to restaurant for long time. Decided to finally try the clam pie. Disappointed. Clams very tough, too much garlic (and we all love garlic) lemon on certain slices made pie taste funny. Highly recommend sticking to traditional pies.

My wife and I were in NYC for the San Genaro Festival. We are from Rochester, NY. We have more than our share of great pies here at home. However, I have to say that if you prefer a super thin NYC style pizza, this is the absolute best you'll ever eat. My only suggestion is that they offer more salad dressings. A simple balsamic, sea salt, fresh ground black pepper, and extra virgin olive oil would be a nice addition.

Which Planet? Definitely not Earth! Just got back from our first trip to NYC from Boston. Came across Lombardi's on our trip through Little Italy....We got the White pizza, it was inedible! If you like a heavy ricotta cheese mess on top of your pizza, then you'll love it! The caesar salad was unappetizing too. If this place was good at one time, it isn't anymore. Only good thing was our waiter.

If you like pizza without cheese, then this is for you! More than $20 for a pizza where the only item that costs anything is the cheese, and they don't put enough on to cover one entire piece, is a giant ripoff. A native New Yorker and villager, Johns is always my first choice but they don't deliver. A friend recommended Lombardis. Never again. We did order a cheese pizza; they must have neglected that in our order.
