Good enough when you want Vietnamese
I was happy that a Vietnamese spot opened in the neighborhood. It's not the best ever but when you crave a hot bowl of pho it's nice to know you can get some in Greenpoint for delivery or even a quick lunch inside. Their spring rolls are meaty, the papaya salad is ok- needs more kick, the bun dishes are solid and the pho has helped me through some illnesses this winter. All in all it's good but I wish their sauces were a little more assertive.

Eh
I've had the classic, grilled chicken and sliced pork banh mi's - all subpar. Bland with no heat, even when I've requested spicy. I've also had the grilled chicken and special pho. The grilled chicken was better, but again, pretty uninspiring and bland. The interior is bright and clean, but not the sort of place I'd sit down for a meal. The staff is polite, and they work quickly, but they are not what I would call friendly. Overall decent for what it is - a quick, fairly inexpensive, in-offensive meal.

So far so good...
Stopped in here one day craving bahn mi...I got was a fairly decent classic but the salt and pepper catfish app was soooooo good!! The fish was fresh, very moist and flavorful. Veggie fried rice was also really good, and the portion was huge. I will def be trying more menu items from here, in a neighborhood that caters to thai and japanese this place is a nice change

Sad Sandwich
The bread was the only part worth paying for. Pork was thin and resembled bacon. Salad was a a few shaves of carrot and a lonely piece of cilantro. No spice, just a sad scrape of mayonnaise. $1 worth of food & effort for $5. Avoid.

New and needs improvement
Im hoping this little vietnamese joint goes with the flow of our neighborhood which is definitely going more upscale. For me its a little too low quality. I ordered the special pho and summer rolls. The broth was very bland, the veggies were very sparce with only one piece of basil =/ and the noodles were chopped up. The summer rolls were basically a piece of cucumber, a shrimp and a bunch of rice noodles. So far their food appears low on flavor and high on carbs...I guess that's the cheaper way to go. Maybe they'll figure out that if they up the quality they'll get more business in this up and coming, discerning neighborhood (especially those who would eat Pho regularly). I'll give the place another chance. Hopefully they'll improve.

Just what I had expected...
I just moved to my work studio here in Greenpoint and I wanted some Vietnamese food for lunch. I found this place this place through menupages. I had a classic sandwich, I find that as a good barometer to gauge how good the other food is. its the one classic vietnamese sandwich you have to make right. bread was pretty good, crusty, and moist inside. the filling was shotty. had the usual, carrot, diakon, cucumber and cilantro. they forgot my jalapenos and wheres the sihracha? the proteins consist of various preparations of pork. this one had a vietnamese pork, deli ham, and some weird boiled pork that wasnt very pleasant. that ham had a strange aroma, and was flavorless. Overall I probably wont be getting another sandwich from them. I might decide to try other things in the future, if theres nothing else to eat $4.75 hard to complain, but I rather pay $10 to have it done correctly.
