They made my day!
It is a beautiful Saturday and I have a craving for Mexican food. However, living where I live no one will deliver. The first restaurant had told me to call back because no one could speak English (I seriously need to work on my Spanish... I can not let four years of intense studying go down the drain). The next two restaurants laughed at me and said no way are we delivering to you. Another one put me on hold for two minutes... I think they had forgotten about me. So after an hour of calling restaurant after restaurants and a few hang ups I finally call Lolita's.... I asked for them to make an exception and go up an extra nine blocks... he willingly agreed. THANK YOU LOLITA!! I have dined in a few times there and we absolutely love it there plus BYOB makes it kind of funny.

Delivery nightmare
The food is great but the service is a nightmare! Takes forever to get food and you may actually never get it. i'm serious, i've ordered from here a million times and they always mess it up. They are nice and the food is good but....NIGHTMARE

Fell off a cliff
I hate to bash what used to be one of my go to places, but I have to agree with the other reviewers. The service has gotten so bad that even if the food was good coming out of the kitchen, by the time it arrives at you door (about an hour and a half later, after three calls and a bunch of excuses) it is inedible. Skip it.

Agrees with No Bueno
Lolita's did start strong. We were happy to have a new restaurant in our area. We ordered from them a couple times, once for pick up, once for delivery and all was well. Today we placed an order at 5:20. We called to check in at 6:30 and they had no idea what we were talking about then said the order was out already. We called back at 7 to check in again and again they had no idea what we were talking about... aye aye aye...Order cancelled.

No bueno
Lolita's started out strong, but their service has consistently gotten worse and their food less appetizing. I've ordered from this restaurant a few times... First time, the food was okay, the delivery was fast. The second time, they forgot half my order, the food they remembered to deliver and pack was cold, the meat dry, and the portions lousy (Skip the combination platter and order your items separately.) The three or four times after that, they were either late with the food, got the orders wrong, decided they'd stop deliveries for the night (around 8pm on a weeknight) OR, would simply take my order, get my address and decide I wasn't ordering enough food to warrant them delivering. This isn't the reason they gave me on the phone, but it's exactly what the manager said while they had me on hold. (Do a better job of covering the receiver on your phone, amigo.) There isn't a lot of great Mexican in Harlem, so if you're hard pressed and craving a torta, walk east to Spanish Harlem or go downtown, but don't give Lolita's your business.
