pretentious over priced Italian food
I have no plans to ever return- maybe to sit at the bar where at least they will put a cloth down -the food is pretentious overpriced Italian food-I have lived and traveled a lot in Italy and LV doesn't compare. We were rushed out and the tables could at least use a table cloth!

Wonderful Experience!
We ate here last night and had an all-around wonderful evening. Sazerac and Cynar drinks: so fun! Fava bean crostini: very fresh with a nice pesto beneath the beans Beets: Amazing preparation. Crisp thing of vinegar, perfectly cooked beets, crunchy walnuts and fresh cheese grated on top. Ricotta: My wife loves ricotta and she said it was the best she ever had. Sardines: Super fresh and flavorful. Crispy Artichokes: Perfect appetizer - beautifully presented, so much fun. Spaghetti with lamb amatriciana: Homemade pasta, full lamb flavor in the spin on bolognese Orchiette special: OMG. With rabbit sausage, spring peas and a perfect cheese a can't recall. DO NOT MISS! Lemon Tart: I wouldn't ordinarily order this, but it was superb. So lemony with a light gelato on the side. I had no room for dessert, but could not stop eating this for anything except: Toasted almond semifreddo: So creamy and served with strawberries and a gingerbread 'snap' that has me looking forward to making snaps myself. As amazing as the food was, i was even more impressed with the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, including the chef. Our server went out of her way of us numerous times, was spot on in all of her recommendations and really made it a special evening for us. We can't wait to get back!

Great taste of Tribeca
My husband and I dined at Locanda last night. WOW! We live around the corner and decided to try as we walked past. We ate at the bar which I am usually against. We expected the food to be amazing (which it was)! The service really was the outstanding feature of the evening. I only intended to have a cocktail. Our bartender kept raving about the food, we asked her to pick some of her favorites... Five courses later (and several glasses of wine) my husband and I are rolling in laughter with the most delightful bartender. The food and wine were unbelievable but the casual delightful service is what will bring us back weekly. Perhaps I will start dining at bars more often.

That's a spicy meata ball
As close to Italian family home cooking as you can get in NYC. If you are looking for a restaurant that has it all--great food, friendly efficient service, and cool ambiance, run don't walk to Locanda. And the price is right.

Great Atmosphere, Fantastic meal!
We tried Locanda Verde this past weekend and our group of 5 all agreed it was a fantastic meal. Service was excellent and friendly and we loved the vibe and decor of the room. All of the apps and mains we tried were delicious but hands-down the winner of the night was the mushroom ravioli. It was outstanding -- I could have had a second helping, the flavor was addictive, it just melted in your mouth! We all can't wait to return!
