What is sticker shock?
It's 2009. How does anyone get sticker shock? did he/she not look at the menu before going or after arriving? Reviews like that are useless. I happen toreally like this place. The chicken fried steak is delicious and a good value at $15 and the mashed potatoes are definately better than average! Service has always been friendly and attentive without being pushy, even when the place is busy.

Terrific Food, Great Appetizers
Great neighborhood place...and right at the train line. I love their peel & eat shrimp, and their honey BBQ wings. The wings are unique, and always tasty. The service can be harried, but always courteous. This is a fun place...not gourmet by any means, but the prices are moderate. Great place to enjoy some beers and fun food.

Best Catfish in The City
I pasted Live Bait for years decided to stop in out of sheer boredom of the usual haunts ,,,,so glad I did they have the best catfish in the city !! Its Juicy ! Crazy description for fish but what else can I say that would describe the sandwich! I had a problem with delivery that the management corrected immediately . Keep up the great service Guys!

sticker shock
Wow, go to a bar, which is all this place is, on 23rd street, have 1 appetizer, 2 sandwiches and a couple drinks....how much should you pay? Try 75 dollars with tip. Not worth it. The food is no better than bar grub, everything is fried to oblivion, what a waste of money.

never order here again
I will never again order from Live Bait. I have never written a review but since I found my dinner unedible I felt compelled to advise others. The delivery took over 1 hour. When it finally arrived the bag was soaked - things were spilled, containers were broken and sauces were everywhere. We had a lot of cleaning up to do before we could attempt eating. SO you can understand my dissapointment when i found my ribs to be flavorless and fatty and my mac and cheese was actually gross. I couldn't tell what flavor it was supposed to be. I was starving because i waited so long and i am still starving since I couldnt eat my dinner - it was that bad.

Great Food, Fun Atmosphere
A friend recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed! They serve large portions at reasonable prices. I loved the Catfish! Everyone I was with really enjoyed their meals. Friendly service with an unpretentious atmosphere, and yes it was loud in the restaurant, but that just means everyone is having a great time!
