Little Poland Restaurant

The food is the homey, hearty comfort food that you only wish you could make. Everything on the menu is good (I've been coming here for many years either by myself or with friends Polish or otherwise, so just take my word for it.) My favorites are the potato lamb soup, the white borscht, the perogies (of course), the kielbasa, and the poached fish. The portions are big and the taste is superb. All for (usually) just twenty to twenty-five a person, all inclusive. IN MANHATTAN!! Now the bad. Yes, the service is a little off sometimes, but it's not really a big problem. There are usually just two waitresses working the whole place, which can easily seat twenty plus people, which is often the case during meal times. I mean it's slow, but it's not an uncomfortable place to just hang out and have a conversation. And when it's not crowded, the service is actually not that different from any other place in Manhattan, so I think it's ok. Finally, I come here for a more poignant reason. This place reminds me of the New York City that I grew up in, not the vapidly yuppie place it is now, so I'll be coming here till they are priced out, which seems to be an eventuality for everything these days. Sigh.

I love this Restaurant. Nice service, and excellent food. My friend Linda from work took me there. All the waitress are all from Poland (at least I though so) I love all types of cuisine and this was my first time trying Polish food. I LOVE IT. I will be back with my boyfriend and maybe his mother from Russia. Any way, thanks little Poland for my delicious time ..

I just moved to 2nd ave. and 11 street. Just walking and exploring my new neiborhood I found this amazing little small restaurant called Little Poland. I returned the following week and I brought with my 3 friends. We decided to place the order as a team. They serve big portions and we decided to order only 2 major dishes. The waitress gave us some suggestions.. We ordered the combination platter (amazing and huge) and a full order of pierogis (8 total). To be a liitle short, everything was nice, good and really cheap. Excellent food and service.. going back soon..love the place.

I went to Little Poland today for the first time in many years and was so dissapointed. The quality of the food has gone down hill. And it was very poor value for the price. I won't be going back.

I was here with my family yesterday, and all six of us agreed that this place beats our regular place for European food. Not only is the food better, but it's cheaper too. We ended up ordering way too much, as we didn't expect the portions to be so large. Our new usual European spot. Must try the pierogies.

i ate here last night and the food came out cold. i sent it back and by the time it they heated it up my gravy was cold. i was very upset about this and although the prices were good i wouldn't go back to try it again.

The food is obviously made with love. Fresh and always hitting the spot every time we go. Recommend it to anyone!
