Perfect neighborhood restaurant
We eat here often and it is wonderful. The food is always fresh and reminds me of trips to Italy. Where else can you take a group of 12, including a child and some vegetarians, and have everyone oohing and ahhing? Owner and staff are attentive and warm. Great value too! NYC needs more like Lisca!

Not recommended
We ordered wine that was warm and acidic. When we asked the waiter about it he offered to put our glasses on ice. Do not eat here.

How could you not like it?
I have an apartment a few blocks away and have eaten at Lisca more than 2 dozen times. I have never had a greeting that wasn't friendly, atmosphere that wasn't convivial, service that wasn't attentive, food that wasn't delicious, interesting, and (amazingly) reasonably priced. Our freinds on the UWS have abandoned other Italian restaurants in the area for Lisca. If you like Italian food, how could you not like this neighborhood gem? Especially recommended are the pureed vegetable soups (broccoli or cauliflower) made the hard way, without cream, the funghi fritti (fried mushrooms) and the various pastas and fresh fish.

Dont eat here
unsatisfactory. The service was poor the owner or manager doesnt care. it was 9:30pm and they were rushing us thru our meal because they want to close ( they do this all the time if ou try an order over the phone as well). The food was very ordinary and well below average. The pasta was undercooked. The noise at such a level we couldn't hear each other talk. Please pass this one by.

Amazing food and people
Great food and some really great people make this place a uws favorite if not a #1. Also delivery is amazing, nice to deal with on the phone and always take the time to get the order right. Bravo Lisca!

Some of the best Lasagna ever
Lisca is a great low key neighbor Italian spot. I've been there twice and everything has been very tasty and good. The Lasagna is REALLY good. Probably some of the best lasagna i've ever had. If you live in the area, definitely check it out. Ambiance is nothing special but the food is great. The buratta salad is really great too! Solid food at a good price. can't go wrong!
