Food is always close or on the mark, eating in, or delivered. Lately the neighborhood kids are a bit much, no matter how cute parents think they are, kids should be seen and not heard. Not bad kids, bad parenting. And coming from one of seven, with 24 grandkids, who are all well behaved. I hope the owners don't sacrifice one for the other.

Lisca is a tranquil dinner destination for excellent Italian food and downright un-New-York-like friendly service. I have eaten my way through the menu (with a few repeats) and have yet to find a stinker. They have even catered a dinner party my parents threw and everyone loved their food. We originally found it one night when we couldn't get into Gennaro, but now we only go to Lisca for Italian on the UWS! (Also, VERY kid friendly.)

I dont know how I missed this place. Went for the first time last week. It has great food, friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

I've been to Lisca twice, and will definitely go back. I've gotten two different pasta dishes and they were both good - the mushroom papardelle was my favorite. They have weekday specials for $11 pasta, which is very reasonable.

I went with a friend for a last-minute decision casual dinner. The ambiance was slightly boring. The waitstaff was pleasant and attentive, but our food was all incredibly salty. My friend had the mushroom papardelle, and I tried the special appetizer which was crab and avocado salad. Both of our dishes were heavy and very salty, but perhaps we ordered the wrong menu items for our tastes.

I tried Lisca... what a dissapointment. The fish was like eating rubber and the wait staff was unpleasant.
