Great Find
This is a great place. The cheeseburger is excellent -- especially good for lunch time. Beer/soda and a cheeseburger with fries for $8. The happy hour pizza is wonderful. $5 a pie and it's super thin crust. The staff is great and friendly. TVs are everywhere, so it's great for watching sports.

Great neigborhood bar with good food!
Excellent bar pies and burgers, staff is friendly, always a low-key vibe---not a ot of bars left like it in NYC I'm afraid...

wings
im a wing : connoisseur and i search far and wide for the quality in the wings. i find that the best come with the most obscure places and this joint fills both criteria. excellent wings and a solid, low key, casual atmosphere. nice place to chill, because the hype is over rated these days. check it out for yourself.

Where everybody knows your name
I completely disagree that the service isn't good. If you are waiting for the waitress it's because they are talking to the patrons like they are human beings. Having actual conversations and not treating everyone like a check at the end of the night. The food is great, but I go there A LOT, and not for the food. The people who work there are nice, friendly outgoing people who want you to have a good time. After only going a few times they my name and what my regular drinks are. My group of friends keep trying to find another bar to go to, but we always wind up back at Lincoln with the people we like the best.

happy hour is good value, service poor
Being a grad student at jjay, I often wind up here with my friends after class. I have always found the food to be tasty, and when you go during happy hour, they have good deals for $5 like pizza or nachos. But, be prepared for poor service. And if you're thinking that I just had a bad experience once and it was not the norm...you're wrong. Every time I ask my friends how we ended up back at this place when the waitress totally ignores us. a couple times ago she waited 25 minutes to take our order, and then forgot to put it in. I took over 1 hr and 30 minutes to get our food, and all we got was an "oops, sorry". The last time we were there, we were told by the waitress (a different one than the last time) that she wasn't serving the front table because she had a large group in the back. But, she'd do us a favor and take our order. When we got our pitcher, she passed it through the cut out in the wall instead of walking it to our table, spilling beer all over my friend and I, our coats, and our books. we didn't get a sorry either. So in end, if you sit at the bar, you'll probably be fine. The food is pretty good and the drink specials are too. But, don't sit at a table and expect good service.

Love this place!
I have been coming to Lincoln Park for over 4 years now because I know that I am guaranteed to have a good time, whether I am with a large group of friends or I just want to have a quiet one-on-one drink. The food is good, the service is fast, the staff is genuinely nice, and the place is big enough to move around without bumping into others patrons. Really, my favorite bar on the West Side.
