Amazing food, great atmosphere, good value

everything i've tried at lina frey so far has been well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. the grilled shrimp, hangar steak au poivre, haricot verts, and roasted potatoes are all delicious. crepes and desserts also excellent. plus, awesome skylight. great addition to the neighborhood, highly recommended.

    Amazing.

Friendly atmosphere. Wonderful service and best steak I have had in a long time. Have to try this place.

A new must try in the LES - YUM!

Lina Frey is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is really cozy. Manon (the owner) is very warm and welcoming and obviously cares about the food. You select a main and a side, which is really cool. My bf and I shared the frisee salad (awesome), the cucumber salad (pretty good), the lamb chops (yum), the sauteed salmon (8/10). We also had the haricot vertes and the pureed cauliflower (out of this world!). We are going back - I'd recommend it to anyone. Oh yeah - they also have an awesome beer list - delerium tremons, duval, and abita purple haze. yum.

    Best brunch in town

The food is so delicious with wonderful people. The bar with it's open roof gives the atmosphere of being near the ocean.

    Dy-no-mite

new spot on the LES, and a welcome addition to a bleak stretch of houston best known for pastrami sandwiches and live music. solid service, damn good chow chill atmosphere and good tunes. had a couple kronenbourg drafts, a steak, mussels, fries and spinach. and man, the price is right. plus, the roof retracts, so you can howl at the moon i guess.

    Delightful

I just went for dinner last night and it was excellent. The portions are small but so are the prices and it really fills you up, especially with the sides. The green beans with shallots and the rosemary roasted potatoes were incredible. I also had the Salmon with mustard hazelnut crust with was really satisfying. I highly recommend and the wait staff is delightful. Plus there is a great skylight that they open up in the summer, which I thought added to the rustic but sophisticated atmosphere.
