    Unexpected

Tried this on a whim on a Saturday afternoon. Don't expect to have an attentive waitress, but she was sweet as pie. The food blew us away. Fantastic flavors, great quality meats and large portion for less $ than you would expect. The atmosphere is typical bar with low lighting and typical patrons there to get their drink on but the food is outstanding.

    Stay for the Chicken Fingers!!!!

A close friend had recommended that I go to Limericks like 20 times. So one night after work, I met up with a friend in hopes of just getting a quick bite. We ordered the sampler platter, where you get to choose 4 appetizers off the menu for like 12 bucks. We ordered it, just as something to start us out. The order took about 15 minutes, but there was more food than we anticipated! That was a very pleasant surprise. We had a pitcher of beer and that platter and enjoyed ourselves for 2 hours for less than $40 total. I now try to go at least once a week. The Chicken Fingers Rock!!!!! I admit that the Potato Skins were disapointing.

    I'm family already . . .

Catherine and Simon, along with all the other staff, are great. I'm not saying this is the best place in the world to eat or drink, but if you're from the neighborhood and want a place to call your local bar, this is it. I've been frequenting this place for over three years, and it only gets better with age. It's extremely affordable, fun to party at and is definitely a place that feels like home.

At Least no one got sick.

I read the prevous reveiw, and went on their recommendation. I arrived before my friends, and ordered a beer, the fact that the bartender reached for a clean glass sitting right next to all the dirty glasses, he had not cleaned should have been my first sign to get out. The staff was nice, the food was adequate at most. I would not eat there again. Its really a Dive Bar, that serves a few things. The place is dirty. If you are looking for a cheap place in that part of the city to drink, then Limerick House is for you.

    A COLD NIGHT,A WARM WELCOME

Walking on beautiful,Spring,cold,N.Y. kinda evening,Clare and I fancied a hot (Irish) whisky to thaw our bones. We walk into this unpretentious,take-as-you-find-us pub.Catherine greets us with a smile as wide as the Hudson.Colin from the Empire State Building talks to us like we have been life-long pals.2 later we hail a cab.And they say this kinda hospitality on happens in Ireland. Hey...good people of Manhattan and beyond.DROP BY! You'll be glad you did.
